Well, Stacey Chrissa and I we were talking the other day, and she shared this really cool experience that happened, and it's so relevant to the podcast. She's probably shared it with you too. I'd like to give her a moment to explain something that happened to her during her reading with uh Z.

As I knocked my microphone off the table. Um yeah, so uh Z, Zanaida is in the Sage Practitioner training, and um she gave me a reading the other day, and I was like, what's going on with my career? You know, I'm about to turn 45. You know, what am I gonna do with the next half of my life? You know, I like what I'm doing, but is there gonna be anything else? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Wine, whine, whine, whine, whine. And she said uh she pulled the three of cups card.

Damn it. Never mind. Yeah, yeah. Anyhow, I thought that was really a cool experience and kind of a great way to start this episode because we walk our lives having these experiences because we're aware of them. We are looking for them, and when they happen, they still surprise us.

My eyes went wide and I had a huge grin. I said, it because she goes, because she she had it in her hand and she goes, You're never gonna believe what I just pulled. And I'm sitting there like, Well, what? What death? Like, what? The tower? What's coming? I mean, what the hell? And she goes, three of cups. I was like, okay, well, I don't know how this podcast works. I don't even listen to podcasts, so I'm I'm I'm here for it.

Yeah, well, I I had a a really cool synchronicity happen yesterday during meditation. I had a question about something. I've been feeling a little bit, I would say, down in the dumps, or just kind of what what's my path forward? And so I asked for a sign, and all of a sudden I saw the vision of a sheep, and my mind immediately went to dolly. And so I'm like, Dolly? Like, am I looking for the word dolly? Am I gonna see Dolly Parton? Like, what is this dolly reference? It's just was gonna be shown to me as confirmation. And I usually give it like 24 hours to play out. So I went from meditating, I did my automatic writing, I sat down to read, and on the very page I was at, and this was not a character in the book, it said the word dolly. So I'm like, okay, thank you. That's what you were talking about. I've already found that that's a hard yes. I like hard yeses.

Yes. Well, and it's interesting now that we're we're kind of stepping into the synchronicity story. Yesterday, my my best friend in the entire world was up from Virginia, and we were able to spend the morning together, and she's a photographer. So she had told me the next time I'm I'm up in New Hampshire, I'm going to bring my camera. I'm gonna take some new pictures of you because let's be real, I've changed, I've changed a lot just in the past year. And we were in my my office space, and I kept flipping over the death card.

I and and I if if you I mean you guys both know me pretty well. I love the death card. It is my favorite card in all of tarot because it represents new beginnings, it represents move like forward movement, like this beautiful feeling of like just you know, forward momentum. And I kind of sat with that because every time I flipped it, and it was like I would shuffle and just pull cards out because she was taking pictures, I'd flip the death card. And then when I left, I was getting multiple like awesome numerical synchronicities from the unif universe. And I was like, you know what? I'm on the right trajectory, I'm doing what I need to do. It is good. Yeah, you're loving those.

Yeah, I don't do tarot, so you'll have to remind me what they all mean. Because when I hear when I see the death, I'm like, well, uh to me, it's endings, but I don't I don't do tarot, so I don't know.

So it it can, so the death card and tarot can absolutely represent the end, but within the end, there's typically a new beginning. So if you really kind of look at the card closely, it's the ending of the way things were into this beautiful newness of what can be. And that's kind of that is to me, the death card is really like it makes me feel warm and fuzzy whenever I see it because it's big changes, but it's really big, typically good changes. Oh, but that depends on the cards around it. Like there, I mean, tarot is cool, yeah.

And I love that you brought up the death card right here because I think it'll be a perfect segue into what we were wanting to talk about today, because it does indicate the ending of something and the beginning of something new. And right before you said that, you said that you have changed a lot this year and and physically, like in what way have you changed? We've all seen it, so I'm wondering if you would like to share.

So I guess first I'm going to give a small shout out to my my tattoo artist that I've been working with just out of respect for him. But I've been working with Lee Scott in uh Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Hi Lee. I have a full back piece tattoo. I have a full right sleeve, and my right sleeve that I have down my arm is full of protective symbols. There are numerous protective symbols, but one that always comes to the forefront of my mind is the Hamza that I have that's coming down my arm because it's an Egyptian symbol of protection and strength. Um, I also have the star is the back piece that I have. It's the star with an overlay of the moon, and I have the death card on my foot.

Yeah, it's a beautiful tattoo. It's actually a cover-up piece because I used to have a frog that looked like it had it was holding a vagina. Um my god. Okay.

So now okay, we gotta pause right here because I'm so glad you brought up covering tattoos because I know Carissa has a story here, and I'm gonna throw her under the bus and say, Carissa, please share your foot tattoo story. Yes.

My best friend and I were like, let's go get a tattoo. We went out drinking, and uh, we looked at one, and there was uh this is so typical. We went and saw there was you know a Chinese symbol, Soul Sisters, and so we both put that one on our foot. Anyway, went on and put more. The foot's not the kicker. Anyway, she years later, she went to acupuncture school, and she came back and told me, she was like, Well, my my teacher told me what the symbol really means. And I said, Oh yeah, what? And she's like, Well, the symbols mean a lot of things, and I said, Okay, what? And she's like, Well, it's when a man and woman come together, and what comes out of the man to create life? And I looked at her, I squinted my eyes, and I said, 'Are you telling me I have cum on my foot?' And she looked at me, her eyes went wide, and she goes, 'You better not take it off!' And I was like, You damn straight up taking it off. You damn straight. But here's the kicker though. This is where, oh my gosh, man. And then I decided, you know what? I got the tramp stamp. I got the I got the one on my come on my foot, which I didn't know at that time. And then I said, I'm gonna go get an armband, tribal armband. This is the 90s. I go and get it, and the reason behind the tattoo, right? Because they're all symbols, is that I wanted to be treated as an equal with boys. Like I didn't want to be a sex symbol. Okay. So then, lo and behold, literally a year or two later, Pamley Anderson went and got that bob wire around her arm. So now I look like a sex symbol. So I'm walking the streets looking like one is saying I want to suck off every Tom, Dick, and Harry, and the other one's saying I got cum on my foot. So when I went to go get these off, uh she was like, I'll give you three for the price of one to remove them. I was like, You go, girl, I'll do it.

I'm never getting tattoos again. Ever. It's either the universe was playing a prank on me, or I was just unconsciously sexually frustrated. Probably the latter, you know, who knows? But that is I'm not getting tattoos. Not getting tattoos.

So you had the come on the foot, you're a sex symbol on the arm, and you got that deep voice. So man, you're killing it.

That should have been the decade of your life. Um, it was it. That's when I went to celebrate. So I think it was because I was unconsciously sexually frustrated. I'm I'm assuming. I don't know. But yeah, I'm not getting tattoos again. You know, they're spiritual, we can get it on into all that, but you know, not doing it. I'm out.

There's other ways to express yourself. So, and I love it because this is just a direct demonstration of how what works for one person, like in symbolism, is not going to work for another. So when I got the the Hamza on my arm, I really didn't think much of it. I wanted the symbol of that, you know, protection, that energy in the tattoo work that I was getting done. What ended up unfolding though is I actually went and I did a land clearing up north. And my guides went when I got to the space, they said, you need to take off your watch. That symbol needs to be unhindered. And, you know, so I actually have utilized the symbols for their purposes since I've gotten them. But again, it is not for everybody. I I am working on my second sleeve right now, and it's going to be full of at just as much symbolism as the first one is. But this is me being authentic to myself, just like Carissa. It's it's you being authentic to yourself. And Michelle, I know you have a tattoo or two. Or 12.

Were they all on your ass cheeks? No, none on my ass and no tramp stamp. They're just kind of little ones around my body. And for me, it really was that connection. And I didn't even realize realize it at the time because I hadn't opened up, but I got my first tattoo into the heart on a string. It symbolized something I was going through my personal life, something that was going to teach a lesson.

Oh, only you. Like, you guys are all in like a sexual mood today or something. I blame Carissa. So heart on a string. Got it. A heart on a string was my first tattoo representing Sathy Eyes going through. And then I just like the feeling of it. I liked being able to look down and see it and it bring me back to that moment. And so then I, over the years, have gotten additional tattoos, but it's really using my skin as a canvas to bring out those emotional lessons that have touched my soul. And so when I think about the tattoos I have, I think about the symbolism that was there even before I opened up spiritually. I had a butterfly, which means change, transformation, hope, positivity. I had a bear paw, which was strength, healing, protection, and courage. I also had a dragonfly, which again is trained, change and transformation, adaptability, self-realization. So all those symbols already coming through, and I didn't even realize it. Now, since I've opened up spiritually, they've changed. I have the four elements. I have a rose opening up, symbolizing that growth. So yeah, I use them because they make me happy and they're quick little reminders to keep my chin up if I'm having a bad day. Oh you know, just really representing my true self, which I hide to so many.

Part of my personality. And Michelle, I mean, I knew about I you and I have talked tattoos many times because it's I feel like that's one of our favorite topics. So I I mean, obviously, I it in those conversations, you've shared multiple pictures of your beautiful work. And I think one of the other things too that happens whenever you have the outside. So the way I look at it to kind of back up a little bit is when I look at the artwork that I have on the outside of my body, it's a reflection of kind of who I am on the inside too. Again, it's different strokes for different folks, but it they're great talking pieces for me because I do have a lot of people coming up to me commenting on what they are, what do they mean. But the other thing, and and this is a story that I've not shared with you guys yet. Somebody touched me the other day. Like what? Like started on the arm, not inappropriately.

So this actually did make me angry because I you guys, you guys have not met me in person, but I like I will give the people that I love hugs. Like, I'm all about like hey, you know, I love you. I will give you a hug. But I'm not a big toucher. I don't really like that physical, like, if I don't know you, don't just don't touch me. Just don't. Just it's it's not cool. And I was in the store, you know, grabbing a few things, and this woman walked up to me and grabbed my arm and started rubbing. I have this beautiful peony on my upper arm and started like rubbing the peony, commenting on it about how beautiful it was. And if you could have seen my face, like I was I stood back and I looked at her and she was, I mean, she was complimenting the work. It's a beautiful, beautiful flower. But I was like, why? Why are you touching me right now? And you could read it. And she's like holding my arm away from me, like stroking the freaking flower. And I'm like, lady, I'll go away.

Yeah, and the South, there'll be someone, you know, a lady will come up to me and like, you know, like touch my hair and just be like, hey, how are you? And it's just it's why? It's the southern thing. Yeah.

I have a question here. I don't really like being touched either, and I would find that extremely strange. But do you think sometimes people take liberties with us because that light does shine bright and they just are called into it?

So I think yes, I think that's a piece of it. And I think with something like tattoos on the skin, like this particular person didn't have any that were visible. So I think that there's this question of does the skin feel different where the ink is? Like, is it bumpy? Does it feel different? And the answer to that is no, it doesn't. It feels like skin.

So I think bumpy actually, mine on my arm is bumpy because it's uh has um scar tissue.

Oh, interesting, yeah. And I I guess the only other piece that I'll throw out there is now because of the level of artwork and the amount of artwork that I have, people strip down to show me theirs.

It's an interesting, it's like I have not had anybody like remove a shirt or remove their pants, but like jackets, yeah, I was gonna say, yet taking off jackets, pulling up their pant legs, like in the line at the grocery store, like, hey, let me show you mine. And I just kind of stand there and I'm like, all right, like I just want to pay and leave.

Okay. Well, let's Stacey, if we can, can we go back to what you said earlier about you were out doing a land clearing and your guides asked you to remove your watch in order to have that tattoo unobstructed? Yeah. Did you feel like that helped? Did it feel different once you removed the the watch? Uh, did you feel like the tattoo had a different force build to it and energy to it once that happened?

So well, because the ha it was the Hansa, because it was unencumbered, it was actually utilized for what it was meant to. So it was the it it did actually kind of create a protective barrier for me that allowed me to step in. So the clearing, I will say, was uh it because it was a land clearing that dated back like way, way, way back, and it was very historical appealing. I think the use of the Hamza was a direct relation to the the clearing itself. Like I they knew that I needed an ancient protection or a protection that could predates you know, I don't even know how how uh long ago the Hamza does goes back, but it predates me. You know, it I needed something that was used for that reason, if that makes sense.

Is that the Greek eye? I'm about to give you because it's the the visual just popped in my head, but I'm the eye of Horace is uh is a concept and symbol of ancient Egyptian religion representing well being, healing, and protection.

No, probably not. But I went to get my last tattoo, which it's a very simple tattoo. It is the four elements with the triangles going in the direction of, of course, air, fire, earth, and water. Very simple tattoo. I and I went to a place in Las Vegas where I've had many tattoos done. Many. Okay. I get it put on my body. Then they give me the bill. I didn't ask before because it's always been reasonable. For four triangles, like three lines with a little symbol, they charge me over a thousand dollars. I know. I know. I did not feel good spiritually, physically, emotionally about that when I was done. But like, what can I do? It's already on my body. It's not, they can't take it away. They can't take it back.

So, Stacy, when you decided to step more into your authentic being and bring your soul to your physical body so everyone can see, did it start at a point where you had an idea about what you wanted to do, or did you just let the the spirit take you to where it ended up? Was it like divinely guided, I guess is what I'm saying? Or how did that unfold for you?

So it's that's actually a really interesting question because initially I met Lee, who again is he's the tattoo artist that I've been working on with. Highly again. As a walking so initially, one of the other artists in the shop was supposed to do a piece that I have on my arm, which is an elephant with an owl over it. And he ended up doing it just kind of through I it just just it just worked out that he ended up doing it after one thing after another. And I was really like initially I was really irritated, but he did such a beautiful job on that piece that I said, hey, I want you to look at some tattoos that I have on my back and see if you can make them look better. Because I had had this is so cliche. I had had, you know, the feather with the birds flying from it. I had one of those.

Yeah, I they it it was pretty, it did not look pretty at the time that I was trying to have it fixed. And under it, it said, Sometimes when you fall, you fly. Both great, like I I they were they were good tattoos, like I got them for a reason and they had meaning behind them, but they just didn't look good anymore because I had lost a hundred plus pounds. So your skin changes, all of those things. So I remember asking him, like, hey, what do you recommend? And he was like, You're looking at a cover up. And he was so honest that I was like, Well, let's talk about that. Like, what do you mean? And he had gotten to know me a little bit, and so what we ended up doing, and I realize this is really long-winded, Michelle. I'm sorry, is piecing my sleeve, my right sleeve together, starting with the cover up and working the way down. So it was done piece by piece. Like I would be like, hey, go with the flow. Like I told him, I'm like, you have as much freedom as you want. You know, here's an idea. You know, I threw out the Hamza, I have the ohm symbol on here, I have a few elephants, like I have uh four-leaf clover, I have like these interesting like little things, but you have to look for them. And so he took everything that I said and kind of pieced it all together one session at a time.

And you're surprised that people, random strangers, are wanting to touch your body with all that? Like, there's so much to see, but it's my body. I know, I know.

I was just so I was joking about that, but like people would be drawn to it, like staring and like, what am I seeing? Well, that's what I have.

Uh uh a young woman that I went to yoga teacher training with, she came up to me and she said, I would really like to take a moment and actually look at the art on your arm because there's so much happening. I just want to get a good look at it. And I was like, absolutely, you know, look like you can do whatever you need to do. Like, if you talk to me about it, you can touch it. Just don't walk up and grab.

Yeah, that that would be awkward, but that was a boundary that the lady set herself and a great approach to it. But can I ask you another question about your tattoo? And I'm doing it just because I know it caused a little controversy in your life. Is it true? You have a naked woman on your back? Hell yes, I do.

Although I will say that whenever um he drew or whenever I had the tattoo uh almost done, one of the other artists in the shop walked over and and told and said that the her her tits should be bigger. And I was like to this day, it makes people ass.

I was in Michigan recently, and you just you just brought us up. And my aunt, I love her so much. She, every time she saw me wearing like a tank top or a tube top where you could see the boobs on the back of my on my back, she would play with the boobs, like she would just rub them or something. And I remember I looked at her and I said, you know, you are the only one that has ever even thought to play with to play with her boobs, and she just laughed and got the biggest kick out of it. So yeah, yeah. I love it. I love it.

And thank you for sharing so many fun stories about that. And again, tattoos, symbols, they've been used throughout time to convey messages of spirituality. I mean, you go to like Mesa Verde and you see all the the drawings, I mean, for survival, but also talking about what they see, what they believe in. And so I think tattoos are a great way to express who we are. And a lot of people don't get them, they don't need to because really when you're doing it, you're doing it for yourself.
