In this episode what begins as a playful round of “This or That” unfolds into a rich exploration of spiritual experiences and personal truths. Michelle, Stacy, and Carissa share candid reflections on the weight of mediumship, the reassurance of psychic intuition, and the mystery of past life regressions. They open up about their own encounters, from paranormal investigations to moments of deep connection with the unseen. With honesty, vulnerability, and a touch of humor, the conversation reveals how everyday choices about spirituality are shaped by lived experience. This is more than a game—it’s an invitation to reflect on what you believe, where you find meaning, and how you’d answer life’s bigger “this or that.”

Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality
(@ThreeCups_and_a_Dash)
Hey everyone, on this week's episode of 3CD, the ladies and I are gonna have some fun with a this or that quiz. Yes, we should immediately answer the questions, but we got a lot of conversation about this. So please start the music. Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. I am Michelle and I am here with Stacy. Hello and Carissa. Hello, hello. And I'm here trying to get Carissa's energy up. Come on, Carissa, work with us. I know you are. Now Stacy's joining. Yeah. Really gonna be a whole lot of fun.
SPEAKER_02All right, this is gonna be a fun episode because Stacy and I have no idea what Michelle's bringing to the table.
SPEAKER_00So I know. So the first thing I want to do is I kind of want to look back on last week's episode in which we were talking about the Annabelle doll. Oh, yeah. I've recently got some new information on it. So I thought I would share it here, which is gonna lead us into the next part of the episode, which I think is super fun. I'm really excited about it. As you know, Annabelle is uh the haunted doll that Ed and Lorraine Warren had in their collection. She was recently on a tour called Devil on the Run. That was the name of the tour that she was on. And her handler or her guardian ended up dying on the tour of they think natural causes in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Now, the items had all been stored in Ed and Lorraine Warren's Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. Right. And it was closed. The museum was closed back in 2019 due to zoning issues. But recently, the property was purchased by Matt Reif. He is a comedian and he has a huge interest in anything paranormal, like The Conjuring is his favorite movie of all times. And so when this piece of property came available, he purchased it. But he also purchased the guardianship of Annabelle and all of the other artifacts from the museum. So he doesn't own it, but for the next five years, he gets to decide what to do with it, how to protect it from the public, how to keep the public safe, which I find all very fascinating. And as we said in the last episode, we would not want that job. So I'm happy someone is taking over the reins.
SPEAKER_01I so I are you guys familiar with Matt Reif first and foremost? No. So I am like he's been local to me quite a bit recently. And if we could have, we would have gone and seen him. He has really, really, really great, really great crowd work. He's really funny. What concerns me about this is I don't like as funny and great as he is, I'm wondering if this is gonna change his ability to do comedy because he is surrounding himself by such heavy, heavy spiritual things. But I also had read, and I don't know if this is correct, and Michelle, you might know this. He is not the only one that is taking guardianship. It's him, and I thought it was one or two other people.
SPEAKER_00It was a man, and thank you for bringing that up. His partner, his name is Elton Castie, who is a ghost hunter, and I believe he's on YouTube. Now, the big reason I'm bringing this up, all that was wonderful information about Annabelle and where she is right now, but I did see that they are gonna be opening up the Edna Lorraine Warren home and museum for overnight stays. Where is that? It's in Connecticut. I was gonna say it's Connecticut. It's actually actually local to me. So then the question becomes Will you ever stay there?
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't. I wouldn't stay tonight, but I'll go and do paranormal investigation.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like I I would want to be able to go, I'm leaving at like two in the morning.
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't I I leave around midnight. Yeah. Because I it I mean, a lot of stuff happens. What I've noticed, a lot of stuff happen now, heavier stuff does happen at 2 a.m. But when I've been to these locations at hotels that we've been going to, the that that kind of energy I don't want to be awake for, to be honest. No. They're waking me up very different than the one than the energy that's throughout the day and then the the evening. I don't want to be awake for the 2 a.m. one. I really don't. Yeah, that's that's the stuff that you don't play with. I that's really interesting because that we're talking about this, and now my energy's going up because I never put that together until now.
SPEAKER_00It's very fascinating. And I've been thinking about it. Would I stay there? And I don't know that I could spend the night there. I think I could go do a tour there, but to stay there, it's one of the most haunted places allegedly in the world, in the United States. I don't even know. It's just a very haunted known place. Yeah. And after the Begins Museum, where he does collect a lot of artifacts, it just made me so uncomfortable. And because it's so well known, that will never change. That's true.
SPEAKER_01Because we're recreating that energy. But I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00No, just kind of like the Sally house. It's known to be a very haunted location. And even if it were to have been cleared by anyone, it's gonna attract. It's a portal now, basically. So that is running in the news. And then I saw on Facebook the other day that the house where they filmed poltergeist is now an Airbnb. I couldn't find it. I know I couldn't either. I can't confirm that is a true statement. But then I had to think, would I stay in the poltergeist house? I don't think so. Absolutely not. Because of the energy brought in with it in the filming, the intention.
SPEAKER_02I want to interview the people that lived in it recently. Seriously.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that would be amazing. Right? Here is where my energy has been sitting, and here is where I'm gonna introduce you to today's topic. It's called this or that. And I have picked several things that you need to pick one or the other. You can't pick both of them. And the way the game's usually played is it has to be an immediate answer, but I don't think we have to necessarily play it that way because I think there could be some discussion around these topics. The first this or that I'm gonna throw out is the Warren Occult Museum and house or the poltergeist house. If you had to stay at one, which one would it be?
SPEAKER_02Poltergeist, probably, because they've had people live in there and it was and it, you know, they brought in maybe good energy, bright, light versus the other one. So if I had to, I'd say that one.
SPEAKER_00And I did see pictures of this house. It's in Simi Valley, California. And what they've done to the backyard is gorgeous. Like it looks like a resort of some sort. But again, I can't find it on their Airbnb to confirm that it's a rental.
SPEAKER_01Can I ask a question around these two? Yes, you may. Are we alone or do we get to bring someone or some people's with us? You gotta bring your support system with you.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you said alone, Terissa? No, I was assuming we could bring people. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I just make sure. Because then I'm dragging both of your butts to the Warren House with me.
SPEAKER_00Well, we could just do like we did at the Sally house and stay till like midnight and then go back to a nice bougie hotel or something.
SPEAKER_02That was not bougie, by the way.
SPEAKER_00Well, it was as bougie as you were gonna get in that town. It was clean. It was the best western, right? So holiday and sorry.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_00So number two, of this or that. Would you rather be a psychic or a medium?
SPEAKER_02But we are those. I know.
SPEAKER_00If you could only be one.
SPEAKER_02Oh, only one. You know what? That's a great question. I'd rather be a psychic because it's just sometimes it's so heavy being at the medium. You know, I did one the other day and it's like it's and they want to take their time sometimes. And you have to be, you know, a therapist and patient with them on and and then I have to set boundaries and and whatever. No, I'd rather be a psychic. That's why. Stacey?
SPEAKER_01I'm debating because the mediumship piece has always been my my challenge area. So part of me wants to s to immediately go, I'd rather be a medium if I had to choose one of the two, because that's not because that's where I'm weaker in in the in the psychic slash medium realm. But hearing what you said, like it makes me go, I'm kind of glad I'm more psychic than I am medium. But I would love to have the ability to actually see and talk to and more like just different communication than I than I get information-wise right now. So I would say medium.
SPEAKER_00And I tend to lean more into the psychic side right now. Personally, like Stacey, it comes easier for me. I trust it more. But if I had to pick between the two, I think it might be medium because I don't want to think that when we die, it's the end. Like I would hope I would have the ability to contact like a loved one or just to know it continues and to have those stories.
SPEAKER_02So I was I was already thinking, I mean, we all can get in touch with our family members, right? So you don't really need to be a medium to have your family members communicate with you. So this is what I my point of view. So tell me if I was wrong. My mind, I was thinking, be a medium. You're connecting with other people's loved ones who passed away to communicate. But for yourself, you can family can come in and talk to you and in your dreams. You don't have to be a medium, right? Did I get it get that right? Is that what you were thinking?
SPEAKER_00No, I was just thinking I would want to continue that conversation. For me, I don't easily tap in even to my own family members. Like occasionally I'll get something, but it's like hitting me over the head with a hammer, like, oh, you're getting a piece of information right now from a loved one. It's just not your psychic senses coming in. So it really doesn't come as easily, or I don't trust it as freely as I do my own intuition. And my own intuition, my psychic abilities actually seem kind of boring because they've always been there and it's all I've ever known. So a mediumship would be something different. It would spice it up a little bit, I think.
SPEAKER_02It's like fear.
SPEAKER_00No, it's bringing your energy down. Let's move on. Would you rather do a past life regression or a psychic reading for you? Like so you go to someone, would you rather them give you a past life regression or a psychic reading?
SPEAKER_02I've done both, and honestly, I'm impatient. I have ADHD. Can you just tell me? So psychic reading.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I lean. I I'm my I would say psychic reading as well. And I guess the so that my thing is, is are you real or not? And that's so I love getting psychic readings because I know immediately if somebody is like an actual psychic or not. And so I I would go with that, but it's because I enjoy them and I get the snippets in in my past lives pretty regularly, anyways. So I just don't feel like I need more of that. Because I need, I just want to know like what's up right now. What do I have coming at me? What do I need to know?
SPEAKER_02I agree.
SPEAKER_01And I like it when they're good, like actual psychics.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And I think we're all three going to be in agreement on this one. I would choose a psychic reading also, much for the same reason as you know if they're hitting it. And for me, a lot of times when I go into a past life regression, it seems so wild or so different that I have to ask myself, am I recalling a novel that I read? Is it a TV show I watched? Am I making this up? So it's easier for me to step into the psychic reading with an open mind and then come out of a past life regression thinking I just made it all up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. I I agree with that. And I think I I too struggle with that because whenever you go to regressions, and I know I've had one and you know, got this really cool wild story about having, you know, two people fight over me in a different time frame, sword fights and all that jazz. Like it sounds really cool, but you do. You kind of you come back from that going, I remember it. I it feels real, but was it? Or did I see it in a movie? And I'm just kind of associating that time with this.
SPEAKER_02I have a psychic astrology reading this Saturday. I've read a few of her books, so I'll have to tell y'all about that and then on the next podcast.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was just gonna say, are you gonna come back and report to us how it went?
SPEAKER_02Yes, I will.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's so exciting because you've got a lot of changes going on right now. So it'll be nice to step in and have that time to connect.
SPEAKER_02Yes, for sure.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so the next one crystals or candles? Crystals.
SPEAKER_02Candles aren't good for your lungs, but man, I love a nice candle. Yeah, I like the light of a candle. I like ambiance.
SPEAKER_00So I would go with the candle also.
SPEAKER_02I can easily live without candles. Like it's better for you. It's better for you because it's not good for your lungs, suppose, you know, all that. Oh, that's a pretty one. Look at that listener. She's got a clear uh ball. Candle, uh, not candle, crystal. What kind of colour?
SPEAKER_01It's a crystal ball.
SPEAKER_02It is um, but it's small, it's not like the big ones, you know. It's really pretty. Yeah. Can you see in it?
SPEAKER_01Can you scry with it? I have been able to off and on. So this actually sits on my desk, and I didn't, I just picked it up because it I it was sitting in front of me. We were talking about crystals and candles. It sits in front of me, and sometimes I'll catch things in it out of the corner of my eye. But if I focus too hard, I'd I have a heart ADHD. If I focus too much on it, then I don't get anything. But I actually had to, this used to be on my bedside table, and I had to remove it from the bedroom, the bedside table, because I was getting too much feedback from it. Because you can like this, these are designed to see into. And if you have that kind of door open in your room, not good. It can be kind of problematic.
SPEAKER_00So when you see into it, and this leads into the next this or that question, which is would you rather be clairvoyant or clair audience? But do you ever hear when you're looking into it? No, just see pictures.
SPEAKER_01I would personally rather be claire audience. I just give me the information and tell me what it is because that would be way easier for me.
SPEAKER_02When I've had them come through and try to mumble, they're trying to say something, but it mumbles, or I get a clear, which is very rare. I've only had it probably a handful of times. It's that's the coolest thing ever. And well, not when you're woken up in the middle of the night. Well, no. But yeah, that's the that exactly. Get a straight, clear answer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, just give me the information and I can pass it along. Yeah, no, I think I would tend to, and this surprises me because I always thought clairvoyance would be the coolest of all the clairs, but Claire Audience, I work with that quite a bit. I get a lot of information if I'm paying attention through that channel. And so I can't imagine going backwards on it. So I would say Claire Audience. Okay, how about this one? Would you rather stay in a haunted house or go on a Bigfoot expedition? Oh, Bigfoot expedition.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. That would be a really yeah. I mean, I do like hiking. So I'd I mean, because I haven't done it, I'd probably say do it. But if that's the only one I could do forever, I don't know. I love to hike though.
SPEAKER_00Well, hiking is great. Do you like tenting? No, absolutely not. In the middle of a forest or wherever you're at with the possibility of a Bigfoot encounter.
SPEAKER_02I'm not even thinking of Bigfoot. I'm thinking of the logistics of where you go to the bathroom and stuff like that. So no, haunted house. I'm there. No, I'm still there. I I I see it. You gotta dig your hole, the poop in it.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just good. I know how to haunted house. She's a nature girl. Yeah, I would I would be there in a heartbeat. What's funny that you say that is is the only place that I don't know if I would be willing to go on veg hunts for would be the Appalachian mountains. Have you seen any of the TikToks about Appalachia as they have as they tend to say? Like, I'm good.
SPEAKER_02But don't they have a lot of people living out there too?
SPEAKER_01But they are the place that has the really not fun things that we've talked about in previous episodes that I do not want to open my door to. They call your name, they mimic you. We're not gonna say what it is. No, please don't.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to go hiking there.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I would go hiking. And I'm kind of like the logistics part of it. I would not, I'm not a tenter. I am not one for not having locks and doors around me at night. I didn't even think about the bathroom issue, but I was thinking of my personal safety issue, and I would not want to be in the dark facing unknown creatures.
SPEAKER_01See, that doesn't bother me because I tend to be around people who carry things that can protect us.
SPEAKER_00So Well, I did have grandparents who many years ago were up in the Klamath, which is in Oregon, and they did see a Bigfoot. So I've always heard that experience about their Bigfoot, which I think is kind of cool. I think it would be cool to see one, but then it kind of takes the mystery away, and that's probably why we don't see them very often.
SPEAKER_01I used to work with somebody that would go on Bigfoot expeditions, and the stories that he came back with were so freaking cool. That's also part of why it's my my answer, is because it's not necessarily about seeing Bigfoot, it's about the experience trying to. Are you still friends with that person? Um, I know I know them, so yeah.
SPEAKER_00I was just gonna ask if they would be a guest.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably would be. I can ask them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we would love that. Yeah. Because I didn't even know they had that. And so if he could tell about each other, I think I think they arranged it, but it was, yeah.
SPEAKER_00That would be great. I mean, if I would do one if it was a little bougie or if I had like a cabin I could stay in, there were locks on the doors, I had a train guide, lots of food to eat, and some good something to drink.
SPEAKER_01In all fairness, you can design an expedition like that however you want it to be. Like you, if you come to my state, for example, the white mountains up here are like the most dangerous uh trek of mountains. I and I don't want to say in the world, but they are like there are people that go to other countries and hike mountains that are even taller than Mount Washington is here, but they come here and because of how dangerous the like a cliff when you're walking, you could fall off. No, the how quickly the weather changes in the morning is so erratic that people can be hiking their entire lives and actually come here and end up losing their lives because of how dangerous it is. But there are cabins that you can rent still, and you can actually design your entire adventure based around those cabins. So it can be as bougie as you want it to be. It's just a matter of who wants to set it up and and do the work. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_00Well, I have a few more, but I will just do one more because we're probably running out of time and I'll save the rest of these for another day. Would you rather have an out-of-body experience or a near-death experience?
SPEAKER_01Out-of-body experience. Hard one. I I was in a motorcycle accident last year. I don't want to live the pain that you go through with near-death. No.
SPEAKER_02So I would like to just be sleeping in bed and I die and have at the NDE, but I don't want to do the bot physical pain. I cannot. Like last time I got the flu in the middle of the night, I whispered, I'm ready to go. You know, to the universe. Yeah, dear God, I'm ready to go. You couldn't.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and that's why that's why I would not want an NDE. Like, I'm good, because you you can't be guaranteed.
SPEAKER_02And it's yeah, and it's I've the experiences seem beautiful and lovely, but I just can't do physical pain. So out of body.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was right there for the same reason. I had these questions obviously before you and sitting with it. I'm like, you hear so many cool things about near-death experiences and all they learn, you know, that has that scientific element to it. But yeah, out of body because as long as I know I'm coming back to my body, I'm good. And you're not guaranteed in the other one, and you have the physical pain in this human world.
SPEAKER_01Well, you know, and last year when I was in my motorcycle accident, obviously it wasn't a near death experience, but with that pain, I'm good. I'm just good. Like because to get closer than I even was, and I wasn't close to dying, I'm good. Can I ask how fast were y'all going? I was going about 20 miles an hour.
SPEAKER_02And it just hit something or
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I uh so I was taking a turn on a motorcycle and I was by myself on the bike and it's called whiskey throttling, so I actually really don't know how fast I was going. I was just learning how to ride and I hit the acceleration, so I throttled. So I got going pretty fast and right outside of where I was training, there was actually a box truck parked like 30 feet outside of the area that we were we were in. And because I whiskey throttled, I didn't have enough time to hit the brakes, do like any sort of reaction. The bike went right into the side of the box truck. Oh like head on. Oh yeah. I I have my helmet right here. I'll show you where I hit the back of my head.
SPEAKER_02Luckily, I was working. Oh my god. That's terrifying. Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_00Not only are you going through the physical pain, but also your family is not knowing what's gonna happen. So yeah. Do you see that? Oh god.
SPEAKER_01That's where I hit my head on the pavement during a helmet. I took the entire handlebar to that's that's how I broke my rib. I took right here. Took the entire bike to my groin. And like I I really got lucky because I only broke my first rib, which is the rib that's up around your neck, above your uh collarbone. So it's right under it sits right under your collarbone, and a lot of people don't realize you have one there, but you do. Typically, if you break that rib, it's because you've broken your collarbone or you've broken your neck. You don't usually just break that, but I got very lucky and only broke that because I think the handlebar was right there. It punched my brachial plexus, which is all of the nerve endings in your arm, and I still have no feeling from my wrist.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Can I share something about your astrology chart to listeners? So Stacy has Uranus conjunct her IC. And what you're Uranus is the rebellion that part, right? You know, there's lots of other things about Uranus. But when we, and I'll explain where my Uranus is and see the difference. Her when you have Uranus conjunct IC, it's like you rebel against the physical body, not consciously, unconsciously. So it could be, I'm gonna get on a motorcycle, or I'm gonna, I'm gonna play around with this, and then boom. It could be you, I have a friend who has the same thing. She does major surgery, and she's they said, Oh, you're gonna be out for two weeks. She goes, The hell I'm not. I'm going back to work in two days. And I tell her, I'm like, oh my God, Uranus Conjunct IC. It could be so where you're rebelling, like overeat, under eat, drink, like it could be a lot where you just rebel against the body. So mine is Uranus Conjunct AC, and AC is, you know, out in the world. I like to shock people. Would y'all would y'all say I'm like that? I can see it. Yeah, so I like to rebel against society. I like to re shock. And then the Uranus IC shocks the body. Pretty interesting, huh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That is fascinating. So we're gonna have a Bigfoot expedition person come on, and then we're gonna have you do an episode on astrology. Yeah. Because we need that. The listeners need that because you're so good at it and just explaining it so like what the different houses are and yeah, it's yeah. But we're we we'll sprinkle it through. Yeah, I love it. And I love you guys. Thank you for being here. Thank you for doing the this or that. Thank you. That was fun. I just thought it would generate some discussion, and no way could you answer those questions like immediately. That'd be hard. Yeah. Because you gotta think about it. Anyway, anything else for this episode, ladies? Gosh, you're a party today. Sorry. You're so much fun.
SPEAKER_01Well, Stacey, we could go ahead and close us out. The listeners can't see us shaking our head. Well, stay classy.
