On this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality, the ladies are talking about connections, psychic and otherwise. Let's bring in the music. Hi, everybody, and welcome to this week's Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality podcast. Stacey here, and with me are the lovely Carissa. What's up? And the beautiful Michelle. Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_02

I stole it, Carissa.

SPEAKER_00

Totally stole it. I expect one of you to do it every time just because why not?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I throw Carissa the courtesy, and when she doesn't do it, I'll capitalize every time. My voice just doesn't sound as sexy. Here we go. Back to the sexy voice. Inspired, so I may have bedroom.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man. So we're going to be talking about connections today. So do either of you want to dive in and talk about the why? Why we're talking about this? Because I think it's kind of fun. I think it was your idea, Stacey. So what inspired me? It was spotlight on you. I know. I wish there was a spotlight. That would be fun. So the reason that this topic came up is because I have kind of a working theory. I have no idea how to prove this, but I would like to be able to one day prove this idea behind connections with other people. Because I know everybody has experienced it where you'll be like, say, driving down the road, and all of a sudden someone will cross your mind with such an intensity that you either know, A, the phone is about to ring, or B, oh my gosh, they must be thinking about me at this point in time. Even if the phone doesn't ring, there's that such intense connection that's almost like a full body occurrence where you you physically respond, and all of a sudden, you know, you have this person floating through your subconscious, and you're like, wait a second, like I I was looking at the trees or something, and all of a sudden it's just like this explosion of feelings.

SPEAKER_01

Have you guys ever experienced all the all the time? And they are one day going to scientifically prove that, I guarantee. There was this spiritual teacher, or I don't know, some spiritual person, and saying that these chips that they want to put in humans is going to be a way for us to actually realize that we don't need a chip and that we can communicate with each other telepathically. So I asked my guides and they're like, you know, yeah, no, yeah, no. I don't know. Maybe they didn't want to go into it. You know, sometimes they're like that and they just really don't want, yeah. It's like, let's just stay right here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. It's very similar to being in a reading with somebody and they give you a very specific message. The person's like, I don't know what that means. And you're like, neither do I. They told me I had to say it to you, but they didn't give me anything else. What about you, Michelle?

SPEAKER_02

Well, this makes me extremely happy because I have several celebrity crushes that must think about me all the time. If that is true, they must think about me all the time. Name one, name one. I do like the Kelsey brothers. Have you met them? Who's that? No, they're football players. One's dating Taylor Swift, and they're like much younger than me, but they just make me happy, they just have a good vibe and like their relationship with each other, the brothers, it's just so fun and entertaining, and they're who came to mind. So they must be thinking about me right now.

SPEAKER_00

So, as much as I love that, I don't think that's exactly the connection that we're talking about. Probably not.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I will say I do like that because that is another great topic. That if you're a celebrity and you have so many people think about you, how does that affect you? I've always thought about that. So that is actually a really cool thing.

SPEAKER_00

I will say that I I think it would be cool to explore the celebrity at the end of that with so many people thinking about them and talking about them and how that would energetically impact them. Like that would actually be really cool. But no, I I'm I'm talking though, about the connection when you're thinking about somebody and they reach out, or you're thinking about somebody and and you do have that physical reaction. And a great example of this is the three of us were texting back and forth on Wednesday. And I'm not sure who sent the initial text, Michelle. I think it might have been you, but you sent the text right after I was like, I want to reach out to Carissa and Michelle so we could talk about something. And then when you reached out, it was like that confirmation, and it was just really cool, and it was such perfect timing.

SPEAKER_02

And that's when you brought up the idea for this episode doing the connections. And it was so funny because I was down walking by the channel and I saw a lady, I've never seen her before, and I'm like, oh my god, that's Stacy. Same haircut without the tattoos, tattoos, tattoos. I really stepped into like, oh, I need to reach out, and then we got on this whole conversation. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's it's really cool. I know early or actually late Freud, bringing a little psychology in here, had a theory, and and I can't find a lot of information on it anymore, but it it was called groupthink, where he felt that we had access to this like knowledge base. And it's funny because every time I think about it, I see that picture of you know, you have somebody with a thought bubble outside their head. I envision it like above us, where we just kind of pull information down for whatever reason. Every time I I even think about or talk about the theory, but he he felt that we all had access to this like universal knowledge base, and there's collective unconscious, like you know, when you go to a place, you all move to a place and you start starting molding and changing and it's you become acclimated to the culture that you're living in, but there's got to be that energetic thing, too.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, the last time we met and talked, I told you about the research where finally with scientific tools can measure uh electrical activity so many so much distance away from a person's heart. That's why I think one I mean they're gonna find something one day. I think we're so behind in science. To me, we're so behind.

SPEAKER_00

You say they, I'm convinced it's gonna be me. I'm gonna find something.

SPEAKER_01

There you go.

SPEAKER_02

Do it all about manifestation and intentions. She's put them out there, Stacy.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta get into research and I'm working on it. That's all you're gonna do, and you're gonna come up with all this stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I I cannot wait to step into the research aspect and actually doing the things because this is this is the stuff that I want to really explore.

SPEAKER_02

I do know when I'm in sync with somebody, I am picking up the phone to call or text them at the same time, they're picking up a phone to call or text me. And it's such an incredible feeling to know that that's out there and that that's what I'm stepping into. But I've never thought of it in the way that you've described it as you know, definitely that other person's thinking of me. I mean, I know that sounds stupid because they're sending me a message, but like even if you don't hear from that person, that perhaps they're thinking of you.

SPEAKER_00

So I I think this really occurred to me when I found like incredibly profound connection with somebody in my life. And, you know, didn't really see this person all the time, but I would be very ingrained in like what I'm doing, schoolwork or whatever. And all of a sudden, like I so focused on what I'm doing that the the thought of other people is not really coming through. But all of a sudden, it's almost like this energy kind of pops up and it's really in your face, and it's the other person's energy. And you know, it's it's almost like there's this physiological response to it too, because it it's so all of a sudden and in out of the blue that it's really hard to ignore, which is which is the random experiences that I've had. And it could honestly be a psychic weird result of being able to connect into energies. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

What do you think? Like that's it. I've always wondered that. Well, I just got a little bit. Well, the image I get, it's like a spider web, it's a little bit of everything, but I always sometimes will be like, oh, don't think of them because then they're gonna call, think of something else. And because that happens a lot, and that's that's a spider web is an interesting, energetic spider web. Can y'all see it? Where it's got all these lines running connecting you to every person in your life. Yes, that is interesting.

SPEAKER_02

But do you think this is only available to people who have soul contracts with one another, past life connections, like closer on that soul group? I think it's stronger.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think the closer on the soul group, the stronger it would be, but I think it can be between any any two individuals that have met. I think the having that conscious experience of having met is kind of key. That's why I asked you if you had met the celebrities. It's like, have you met them? Because that would be amazing.

SPEAKER_02

I did have a celebrity spiritual experience, a celebrity I never met. Him and his daughter had recently passed away. And I remember like being in their family kitchen, and the conversation was all about the spaghetti sauce that he had made before he passed. And if he were to, or if they were to eat it, then they wouldn't have it again, and they don't have the recipe, and it's like the last of it, and it was that grieving again and like the what to do about it. And it was such a strong feeling. It woke me up, and it woke me up to his jersey number. And then later I got woken up to the daughter's jersey number, and I'm like, what is this all about? I've never met him. Who knows if this conversation happened, but it felt so real in the moment, just with that jersey number conf confirmation, too.

SPEAKER_01

You connected to him.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it it also it could also have been a past life that you were tapping into as well, which is kind of fun too. I I mean, any of those possibilities are are kind of neat to explore.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and then someone was like, You should share it with the family. I'm like, they're gonna think I'm nuts. Like, I don't know the family. It's just I had this dream, it put me in their kitchen, and then I had the experience with the Jersey numbers. So I never did say anything. I held it to myself until now where I'm throwing it out there on the podcast. That's okay.

SPEAKER_00

But have you had celebrity connections in which I have not, but that's also probably because I don't pay very close attention to celebrities. I I mean, I I wish, I wish I had experience an experience to share like that, because I think that actually sounds really, really cool.

SPEAKER_02

But then people will say you can't have an energetic experience like that unless you knew them in life. That the only people that you're gonna be able to tap into are the people that you knew in life, unless they're crossed over, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then yeah, well, I mean, we connect with people who are in stuck in the in-between that help and we help them cross over, and we're connecting with them, and we don't know them. I mean, maybe we have, but you know what I mean? That is true.

SPEAKER_02

Just kind of a cool little thing that happened once. And I mean, obviously, it lives in my heart and in my no doubt notebook.

SPEAKER_00

So I think that's really, really, really cool.

SPEAKER_01

Here's a fun one. Just remembered this. So my daughter was staying at a friend's house. This freaked me out. So, mom's out there, just chill because don't don't always go to the worst because a lot of you know, mom's intuition is huge, you know. Story after story, you've heard that. You know, they're standing washing the dishes, and all of a sudden it's that panic, and then their kid was hit by a car, you know, three streets over. You know what I'm saying? So, anyway, middle of the night, I woke up to Demi in my bedroom, and she goes, Dad, but I just all of a sudden it was like a calmness went over me, like, it's not her, she's dreaming. Go back to bed. I was like, Okay, because immediately my brain wanted to kick on and go, Oh my god, is she in danger? But it was just like this lovingly, it's okay, go back to bed. The next day she called me in the morning until she was kind of like she just was kind of sad. And I said, Did you dream last night? And she goes, Yes, I want to come home. I dreamed, I dreamed dad got hit by a car and I couldn't save him. Oh and I'm so proud of myself I didn't freak out because you would freak out. You're like immediately, this happens to mothers all over. Immediately they freak out and go, and no, you know, but uh intuitively, I guess I knew it's not. Well, and you outside, she was in the room.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and and the other thing that I that I was gonna say is is it also works too the exact opposite, which is where you have that experience going, it's okay, it's okay. But you have the experiences where something really good happens to the people that are really close to you as well, and you know something's coming or that there's good news or something along those lines as well.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, it's pretty cool in those moments where they're they come to you with something really exciting, you're like, Yeah, I know. I knew something was I had a feeling.

SPEAKER_01

You know, then you wonder, well, which we've talked about can your soul leave your body when you're sleeping? I think so. I think so. Because one night I told you all this, it was the first time I went to a chiropractor. Don't go to a chiropractor. This is a nuke a chiropractor, she doesn't do cracking. So, anyway, just wanted to put a disclaimer. Don't go go don't get hurt. I'm not telling you go get it to see one. But I slept so hard that night, and that next morning my husband goes, Did you leave the house at 1 a.m.? So what are you talking about? I'd barely moved in my phone location. I went down in the uh ravine, like this huge creek. And I and then I just kind of wandered around and I stayed there for a while and then came back to the house. Never had you ever sleepwalk? No, but uh that's immediately. I was like, oh my god, did I sleepwalk? But no, because I mean there's coyotes down there. I probably would have been killed eaten.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I I agree with you though. I think I think that we can leave our bodies at night, but we're always tethered, you know. It's not it's like you know, we talked about astral stream astral traveling a while ago. I think you know that's your soul exploring, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because I I mean, for some reason that made sense because I slept so hard that night. And then it happened one other time, which was really interesting. That's another story.

SPEAKER_00

The other thing that I that I'm gonna throw out there about connections is sometimes they can actually be almost like a premonition. So I remember I was driving one day and you know, somebody popped in my head, but it was not just them, it was a scene kind of unfolded in in front of me. And and again, I'm I'm driving and I'm I'm safe, but all of a sudden I have this entire image that just pops in my brain. And I kind of, you know, had to chew on it for a little bit before I really understood everything that I was seeing, because sometimes things come through so quickly that it can take me a good 30 to 60 minutes, 60 minutes to, you know, unravel. But in this instance, it was almost like I was seeing the future of like a possibility of the future. If you continue on the path that you are on right now, this is going to unfold with this person. And it was kind of cool. Yeah, that is cool. Weird connections.

SPEAKER_02

Weird. I just met with somebody the other day, and we're both intuitive. So we were trading out sessions, just kind of tapping in, getting to know each other. And she's really good at past life regressions, and she's sitting there and she's coming up with these things. And as she's saying them, I'm getting an image of something of my mind, but I'm embarrassed to say what I'm getting. But then, you know, she finally said, Jack, and she's like, the first thing that jumped into my mind was Jack the Ripper. I'm like, I was just thinking about Jack the Ripper, and then something else happened, and she's like, it really feels like time travel. I'm like, oh my God, I was so tapped into time travel right there. And so it was just really cool without knowing somebody, knowing that you can have an in-sync moment like that just by being present, just by being open to the possibility. And I thought it was really cool that that happened.

SPEAKER_00

Super cool. That is that that's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

But you know, it's one of those things too. You have to remember in a reading, you know, just say it or put it out there, but here I'm holding on to it only to find out that that's exactly where they're at, too, with it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I I think that there is a level of I don't want to say embarrassment because that's not the right word. I know whenever I'm I'm in places and and I'm like, I was actually, I got my hair done a couple of days ago. And there was a woman that was already there when I got there. So I sat down on the chair and my hairdresser started doing, you know, his thing. And all of a sudden, the woman that typically helps like assists him goes, Yeah, have you met Stacey? She's a psychic medium. And the woman was like, Oh, oh, look at that, and you know, wants to ask a million questions, which that's I'm that's fine. It's totally fine. But it's that feeling of that that immediate connection, you know. Whenever I go to different places, like I'm not reading people, I'm not tapping in, I'm not in that space because it's just, you know, we talked about ethics a while ago, but you just reminded me, Michelle, of that, you know, sense of embarrassment. Like, yeah, this is who I am. And I like to share information as it comes, but sometimes you do, you kind of hold back a little bit. Like, I I've had family members come through and I'm like, oh no, no, no, we're not tapping in right now. We're not doing this. This is not the time or the place.

SPEAKER_01

It does get embarrassing. Be and that's just why I like I want uh I like how we're normalizing it. I was telling someone was at uh you know, get together, and he was like, Oh, yeah, I said something about podcasts. He's oh which one you looked it up and he goes, Oh, psychic. You're psychic. And I'm like, Oh my god, I don't, I sometimes in my own, I'm like, everybody's intuitive, you know? It's not weird.

SPEAKER_00

There's there's weird labels to it, and I realize that that's kind of a different approach to what you were sharing, Michelle. It's just you you made that kind of embarrassment idea pop into my mind because of how easy it is to just hold back and not be really open. And I think it's because it's sometimes we don't normalize it. But I also want to throw out there that I love that you keep getting these connections with all of these people that keep popping up for you. Oh, it's the celebrity.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the serial killers. Yeah, yeah. I hadn't even really stepped into that, but that whole time travel thing, too, which is so cool. I've never even considered time travel.

SPEAKER_00

I almost wonder if it's previous lifestyles that you've got kind of intertwining in in your current one, and that's why you're so connected. It could be maybe just waiting for it to unfold.

SPEAKER_01

You're probably a famous detective in a past life.

SPEAKER_00

Just call me Sherlock Holmes. I was thinking the exact same thing. I was just about to say yeah, I was literally Sherlock Holmes. There you are.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Did Sherlock Holmes did he catch anybody or connect the dots for any murders? Oh no, let me Google. I think he's fictional.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think he was real.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, is he fictional?

SPEAKER_00

It's just the first detective I think out of my mind. So I pulled my phone out to Google Sherlock Holmes, and then you said I something about I think he's fictional, and I started was Google fictional is what I typed. Who's Sherlock Holmes based on? Okay, so Sir Arthur Cannon Doyle's fictional detective with a knack for solving crimes was modeled after Dr. Joseph Bell.

SPEAKER_01

Dr.

SPEAKER_00

Joseph Bell, one of Cannon Doyle's medical school professors, born in Scotland 1859.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, do you have anything more you want to share on connections? Because I do have a listener question. Let's dive into the listener question. I'm game for that. Yah. Yeah. Okay. Here we go. Is there a specific difference between intuition and ego? And then the second part of the question is how can you tell the difference between the two?

SPEAKER_01

Didn't we talk about that in a podcast? No.

SPEAKER_02

No, we didn't talk about it on the podcast. I just gave you a heads out that I was going to be asking the question.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or let me read what I text.

SPEAKER_00

Let me I I intentionally skipped over it so that my answer would have been more genuine because if I read, I think too much about questions. Okay. Well, let's hear your genuine answer, Stacey. My genuine answer is the difference between intuition and ego is ego is typically thought driven and trying your goal is to break things down. And and it's ego is I'm trying to understand this and and place it and in a way that is going. Context. So I know this about your life. So, you know, ego would be I'm making these comparisons, whereas intuition is I'm getting this message, and the message is the message. So, you know, I said earlier in this episode that I don't always know what my guides mean when they say certain things, and that's because it's in it's a very intuitive moment. And I think the way to the second part of the question is they feel different. If I'm thinking too much about something, then I'm typically in my ego. If I'm just giving you the information, it's intuitive. Read your answer, Carissa.

SPEAKER_01

Ego is limited with should or can't or supposed to or fear-based. Intuition is knowing mostly in the peripheral, like a wind behind you gently directing you in the right direction. But the majority of times the intuition is outside of your awareness. That's the problem. And it really does get easier the more you set the intention to be aware of it. But a lot of the majority of everyone out there, you're following your intuition left and right. You just don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And I wrote down that the ego is kind of your comfort zone. It's your eye, it's your sense of purpose, your identity. It's there to keep us safe, keep us small. If we try to challenge it with something, it's gonna tell us a million reasons why. No, that's not the way it is. And I put down that intuition is an internal knowing or pull towards something. It's a hunch that we want to follow. It can warn us, direct us, or take us somewhere. It what did I say here? Or take us to something on path. I can't even react like read my own writing.

SPEAKER_01

Don't worry, I'm the same way.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, my my biggest thing is, you know, in a reading, for example, if I'm sitting in front of somebody and I'm doing, you know, giving them or do and stepping into a psychic reading of any capacity. If I'm stepping into ego, I'm trying to interpret it and I'm putting a lot of thought into the information that's coming through, you know, and and we can almost say, and I'm sorry to kind of throw you under the bus like this, Michelle, but whenever you use the example of holding back that information, that kind of turns into ego, you know, holding on to it, that intuitive flow, you know, stopping it is the same as, you know, stepping into ego, right?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and that's why I shared that earlier. You shared it just to, you know, give us that little drop. Yeah. I'm always helping you out. You know that's amazing. I love it. No, it's it's really interesting though, because it can be really hard to step out of ego, you know, when you are an intuitive, because I think one of our immediate human capacities is to try to understand and help the person that's sitting in front of us understand as well. You know, I I think like I just as an example, one of the the messages that I've shared recently that was very intuitive was you need to find balance. And that's all that I was given. That was literally the parameters is you need to find balance. And when I relayed that message, they were like, with what? And I was like, Oh, I don't know. And then they say, I don't know. No, this was the other the person that I was reading for. I there was there was something that popped up, and yeah, that means they have to figure it out exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Like when psychics think say they know everything and they give you all the answers, that's a real full thing. Yeah. Someone was talking the other day where they were saying, Oh, spiritual teachers are spiritual people are gaslighting you and they say, you know, there's there's a reason why you're going through this hard time. And my and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna disagree, right? Because everybody's experience is different, but my hard times really have been like, hey, this is this is something you're supposed to go through, and it truly is a gift on the other side, right? Like I'm experien I talk about that pain all the time, that horrific nerve pain I had for it. I mean, it was horrific, guys, horrific. But then I've gained so much on the opposite side. Was it fun? And did I want to hear that this is just something you're gonna go through and you're gonna understand when you're it's over? Hell no. But I do have that. But I that doesn't mean that's not that, but I believe everything you're supposed everything hard you're supposed to go through. You're supposed to, you know, which just depends on the person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And what do you think about that, Michelle? I was just really sitting with the thought that ego is the thinking mind and it can overthink, it can overanalyze, it can keep you small, it can keep you in one spot where the intuition is like that gentle flow, that gentle ebb and flow. It, you know, if you don't hear the first time, it's gonna come back through a second time, but it's more gentle. It's not like you're obsessing about it, it's just that push or that nudge or that knowing. That's the best way I can describe it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was thinking one of the things that kind of came through after what you said, Carissa, is one question that I'm often asked is why would I choose to come and be in pain? And my answer is because you wanted to understand it from within your body, from within a physical body. And while I am not saying that pain and experiences that are negative, that are that are you know keeping you down and making you sad or whatever are fun and you know we're enjoying every moment, it's because the source part of you, that connected part of you, wanted to know what the experience was like from experiencing it within. And, you know, that flow, that intuitive flow that that Michelle, you just touched on really is it's it's gentle. And I think that's often why we ignore it and why we tend to ask those harsh questions. Why would I choose this? It's a gentle flow within us that we don't necessarily pay attention to.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And I really think having experienced something ourselves, we learn to be compassionate and we see things much differently than we would had we not had that experience, let's say an illness in the body. You've suffered it, you've gone through it, you've lived it, you've survived it, but you know what it feels like to have the surgeries, you know what it feels like to have the treatments, you know what it feels like when somebody calls and asks how you're doing, and you know what it feels like when somebody doesn't pick up the phone because they don't know what to say. So, you know, it really does teach us more about compassion and how to interact with other people going through similar situations too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, stepping back into what Cursa said about pain is an exact it's a perfect example of that. Because if we, if you have not experienced pain, you don't understand how it can make somebody angry. You don't you don't understand how it can change their personalities so drastically, unless you have experienced it in your own body. Because, you know, things like that that are so intense really do impact more than I think we even realize.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, impact and change us. So I want to see a lot of compassion coming your way, space, or I you're gonna have a lot of compassion going your way, like when you hit menopause, because it is angry woman syndrome a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I was asking my spirit guides while y'all were talking, but what? Because that whole Buddhism thing about suffering, learning through suffering. I'm but come on, like why, why, why, why do we learn really the most? And we really do learn the most through suffering. And they showed me had me feel like oh, that pure gratitude and joy when you're when it's over. Like you really step into that pure. We can be grateful and joyful every day, but remember everyone what it's like when you step out of that pain and suffering. It's that pure joy and gratitude that you and I was just like, oh, okay, intense relief.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and it's just pure, powerful, and and the same can be said, not just with pain, but with struggling, you know, financial struggles, economic situations that come up, you know, housing issues, stuff like that. Because once you conquer all of that and you empower yourself in a way to move forward, it really does bring a different viewpoint that you know perhaps you didn't have.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Because I did that, I survived that, I'm stronger than I thought. I made it through, which is, as you said, very empowering.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it is empowering.

SPEAKER_00

And then you can also look back and see that little, that little intuitive voice in your head and how it was kind of carrying you all along, you know, while that you know, ego thoughts were coming through going, this sucks, this sucks, this sucks. You had the voice in the back going, it'll be okay. It'll be okay, it'll be okay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So true. Well, anything else you want to share on that question before we wrap this episode up? I've got nothing. Okay. Absolutely. Stay classy. Stay sassy, stay badassy. Hi, everyone. Bye.
