SPEAKER_02

Welcome to another episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. And the ladies, me, Michelle, and Stacy, are going to be talking about all things manifestation. Stay tuned. Play the music. Hey everyone. Welcome to another episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. Today I've got Michelle and Stacey. Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_01

Hello. Hello. And this isn't just another episode. This is the episode where we get to kick 2024 to the curb, you know, kicking it in the butt, where the good lord split it. That's what we're doing, kicking it out, and we're walking in to 2025. And this year has been a crack, in my opinion.

SPEAKER_00

I, you know, Carissa, before you jumped on, Michelle and I were kind of just going through a little bit of 2024 and how insanely tumultuous the year has been. Because I think I was saying, I think I remember when we kind of did a prediction for 2024 and it felt like a year of transition. And it was a year of transition. It was a year of basically fuck everything you know, everything in your world is going to shift and change. And it, if you are not ready for it, it doesn't matter. It's coming.

SPEAKER_02

That's giving you the glimpse into Pluto and Aquarius, because Pluto and Aquarius for a little while.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Well, we're going to save all of this for our next episode because yeah, we've got some predictions, not this week, because this week we're going to be talking about manifestation, what it is, how we can embrace it, what we can do to invite it into our lives. And I'm really excited about this conversation.

SPEAKER_00

Me, it's I love I love talking about and and kind of bringing what you want to fruition in your life. Yeah. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. And I do have a little bit I want to talk about as far as saying goodbye to 2024 and what we can do stepping into 2025 because that really goes to manifest manifestation also. And so we'll just kind of do that today. And again, next week you'll want to tune in because that is our predictions for 2025. Yeah. Yeah. And we're going to go both the astrology route a little from Carissa and then also chatting with our guides and tarot cards and all that fun stuff. Yeah. I'm excited. Okay. Well, do one of you want to share the definition of manifestation or what manifestation means to you, how you see it?

SPEAKER_02

For me, after everything that I've been through with manifestation, to me, it's about stepping into joy because I know when I raise my vibration and step into the state of joy, I have more of an opportunity to bring those blessings and things that I want into my life. That is a very brief way to say it. Now, no, I don't go. I want a yacht. So I'm going to manifest a yacht, you know. No, that's not what I do. It's really increasing my vibration so I can enter into a world where there's unlimited pop unlimited possibilities.

SPEAKER_01

And I love how you connected it to joy too.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's so important because that is a huge part of it. Definitely. I think raising your vibration and stepping into that idea of manifesting to fruition what you want in life is really, you do have to raise your personal awareness. And I think gratitude and joy are big components of that. I know for me, when we talk about manifesting, we talk about creating a life that is our lives that are worth living for us. You know, it looks very different for each individual person. It might be a yacht for somebody, but you know, you know, for some, it could just be steady income or, you know, a car that they've always wanted or things along those lines. And when we talk, I think one of the key things when we talk about manifestation is, you know, not just trusting the universe to do deliver everything for you, but all an aspect of it as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and a really important part of manifestation too, and I think Chris and Stacy both spoke to it, is finding the ways to allow what you're wanting to meet your vibration at that time and inviting those things into your life, not waiting for the universe to say, here you go, here's your yacht. But if that's what you're wanting, sit with it, feel it, see yourself there, and welcome it into your life and be open to the possibility of. And there's so many ways to do that. And I know we all have pointers on how to get there.

SPEAKER_00

It all depends on what we're what we're trying to bring into fruition. You know, if we are talking, I love the yacht example. I'm sorry, Krissa. You brought it up. Can you imagine how much the taxes are on a yacht? So I mean, I don't want to. But if if you're talking about something that is that is very much so physical like that, it's okay, I want a yacht. This is my dream is to own this perfect, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, probably multi-million, 300 million.

SPEAKER_00

I have no idea. But it's that if that's my dream, what I'm going to start to do is picture myself on it and look at my life that I'm living right now and and physically go, what steps do I need to take in my life to match that vibrationally? Which, you know, again, that there's that human aspect of it. The universe is not going to just drop a yacht on your house. I mean, I guess it could happen, but you know, directly on the house. I was thinking, like, you know, Lizard of Oz.

SPEAKER_01

But that was the image that came to mind for me too.

SPEAKER_00

But we can match that vibration and open ourselves to possibilities of bringing that in.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. What do you what how do you manifest, Michelle? And what do you want to manifest? I'm going to put you on the spot.

SPEAKER_01

Well, thank you very much for that. And yeah, that's all I can say to that. How do I manifest? Well, someone, a very wise someone, or maybe a couple someones have told me in the past that manifesting is really not only like visualizing, so doing a vision board, seeing yourself there, but it's the self-talk too, and how you talk to the universe about it. If you're manifesting the great new job, but you put a thought out there, a private thought to yourself, like I'm never gonna get the job, thought is just as, I don't know the right word, is just as valuable and as important as saying it out loud. Like what you say to others, what you're presenting to the universe, you know, what you're thinking inside is just as important too, because the universe is picking it up. I mean, how often do we talk to our guides through our third eye or internally? So the universe can hear you. And if you're putting out this, you can't be doubting this. So you really have to step into seeing yourself there. I want to be the best podcaster there ever is. So I see myself a year down the road sitting there, not in my office anymore, but in a studio. And I have the two of you in the room with me. So it's all about that growth and trying to already see myself there, picture myself there, feel myself there, and not doubt it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and and I love that you said the the feeling there and experiencing it because I think bringing all of your senses into it is so important because if you can't hear it, see it, feel it, smell it, taste it, it's it's hard to uh visualize or or bring that forward, right?

SPEAKER_02

And don't drop into shame or beating yourself off of it doesn't come to fruition if you don't get that yacht. I'm just throwing that out there because it may not be the best thing for you. I mean that's such a good point. I mean, being a yacht would probably not be the best thing for me. I'm just gonna say it probably because there's other things that come with it, but you know, we can't manifest everything, we can't manifest it raining with money, so be a little realistic, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, not just realistic, but I think one of the things that we tend to do is we step into manifestation and assume that everything we want is gonna come to fruition just because we feel it, you know, we we step into those belief systems. But realistically, if the universe says, no, if you get a yacht, you're not going to fulfill your life path. And we need you to stay on life path. Like there are there are things that you gotta accomplish here, and that yacht's gonna stand in your way, it's not gonna happen.

SPEAKER_02

It is so weird. It's the older I get, the more I realize why I'm here and what I've had to go through, and when all the doors were closed and then another one was open. It's almost this is gonna sound this is gonna sound a little weird, but no. Of course, we have I mean, of course, we have free will and choice. At the same time, it's almost like I'm being guided to go down my certain path. It's it's really interesting.

SPEAKER_01

It does. Yeah, I keep thinking of the song Unanswered Prayers by Garth Brooks. And it's a song about him in high school, how he just prayed to be with his high school girlfriend. And then you fast-forwarded a couple of years and he's with his wife, and he's saying, I thank you for these unanswered prayers. There's no harm in praying for something, but the universe it puts out boundaries, it puts out those little detours because, yeah, as you said, you get a yacht. So, what does that mean for you? You're gonna have to pay taxes on that yacht, you're gonna have to hire a staff, you're gonna have to have time. I mean, there's so many other things that go with it. So maybe start a little bit smaller and try and manifest yourself on a vacation on a cruise to see what that's like, or rent a boat for a week. But that's an important part of manifestation, too, is to try to be more specific about what you want. Don't just throw out, like, I want to go on a vacation, and then you end up in the Antarctica during like the coldest month of the year. Oh, God. Narrow it down. I want to go on a vacation to Europe during the warmest time of the year, and these are the things I want to experience.

SPEAKER_00

So try and make it a little more specific too. You just made such a beautiful point because one of the things that you just said is the experience portion of it, because you know, we're talking about yachts, and I know it's kind of now officially become a little bit of a joke, but me, if if I was to say I want a yacht, having not experienced, you know, that much life on a boat, I can't put myself there because I wouldn't know what to actually expect. So when we talk about manifesting and creating a life that we find happiness in, looking at the reality of that is key. So, like one of the biggest things I personally manifest is just financial comfort, being comfortable financially. And what does that look like? What does that feel like? All my bills are paid, and I can go out to dinner five nights a week if I want to, or you know, all my bills are paid and I'm able to upgrade my kitchen. What does that look like? What does that feel like? It's very much so a part of my life and that forward movement, not necessarily, you know, I want to win the megabytes tomorrow.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Exactly. And you know something that's really cool? I bet not a hundred percent, but I bet if you could go back to your 15-year-old self and you daydreamed about what life would be like for you now, and it may be a little different. You're we're all pretty close. I know I am. I had to really sit and think about that, and I go, oh, and it helped me step back into gratitude. I could see 16-year-old Carissa wishing certain things were in my life, and I now have them.

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty amazing that you can remember all the way back. I can't. I'm older though.

SPEAKER_00

It's a more of a struggle. I'm I'm younger, but I I can't remember where I wanted to be when I was 16. I'm actually pretty sure I wanted to join the military when I was 16. And guess what never happened?

SPEAKER_01

Did you really? I did. You did. And I'm sitting here listening to this conversation, and you know, really, probably the reason I can't remember from all those years ago is because I didn't have a sense of self and I didn't know what direction I wanted to go. Did I want family? Did I want a career? And it everything was really changing then. So yeah, that's probably why.

SPEAKER_02

Won't blame it on my memory. You can find a diary. You know what? Any teenagers listening, write a diary, write about things that you wish idea come to fruition and then open it 30 years 20 to 30 years later.

SPEAKER_00

What you just you just I have this I have a scrapbook that I made when I was in high school, and it is absolutely the most embarrassing thing for me to look at now because it was all about who I was in love with throughout high school. I was looking at it and I was like, wow, Stacey, and out a lot of my writing. Yeah, she was honing.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, yeah. Well, I didn't keep a diary. I did keep a lot of notes, you know, those they probably don't pass notes in class anymore, but we used to, and so I had a whole box full of old notes, and I'm just like, My gosh, Michelle, get a clue. That's important. That's true. What was that?

SPEAKER_00

Were they folded like footballs?

SPEAKER_01

It was folded and how we folded them back then. It wasn't a football, but it was like this little rectangle, neat little thing.

SPEAKER_00

You yeah, yeah, yeah, us too. So but I I was on the cusp of of cell phones. So middle school is when we started seeing them, but not a lot of people really had them until the end of high school. So we still pass notes.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, but I mean it's a time capsule, which is really cool. So to go back and to visit that. So another thing I was thinking about when it comes to manifestation, and we talked a little bit about it, is when you're going into manifest for something, don't go in expecting like or demanding. That's the better word. Don't go in demanding it, like I demand this. You really need to be patient with what you're asking for. You need to step into it with gratitude in your heart, and you need to check in consistently. It's not like you can put it out there in January and say, I want the perfect job, and then not revisit it, not do anything to help yourself and expect it to come to fruition. So it's again checking in on those goals too, like maybe every couple of months, check in like, how is this going? This is what I want, this is where I see myself. It's being active, it's really stepping into the I will of it rather than just like I do, I I will do this.

SPEAKER_00

And if if I can add on to that a little bit too, I think it's also being open to all possibilities. Definitely. It might not show up the way you expect. Maybe the perfect job is not one job, but two people. That's so true.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good point. That really is. And I help when and again, I can't talk, but it also helps when I'm really stepping into manifestation to do a vision board. Have you guys ever done a vision board?

SPEAKER_00

I treat Pinterest kind of like, but no, not technically a no. I I don't think I've ever taken the time to create one if I'm being completely honest. And that's fine.

SPEAKER_01

You know, a vision board is just one way to do what I'm about to say next, which is to put cues in your environment that remind you to manifest or remind you of what you want. You want to go to Hawaii? Put a postcard of Hawaii up on your refrigerator. So every single time you walk by it, you automatically step into the manifestation. You automatically see yourself on the beach with a pina colada or something. So put those visual clues out into the universe also. Stacy, you have ADHD.

SPEAKER_02

Tell me if you experience this. I was thinking, what would my life be like if every day I had that? And you know what my ADHD brain would probably do? Want to rebel because it's too much pressure. So it'd be that I don't want to go to Hawaii. I'm gonna go to Bali. But I guess I would still manifest the experience.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you would still manifest the experience. I know I've tried personally doing visuals like that, and I know that they work for some, and I think it's a great, great example. For me, I end up ignoring them and I don't know why. Like I will put pictures up of places that I want to go, like my background of my screen is somewhere that I want to go right now, and it changes kind of it cycles regularly, but I end up just kind of whoosh, don't even see them. And and I think that could be a part of being super ADHD, but that might also be why I I don't personally do the vision board aspect, but I'm also wondering if that would help me be able to hone in a little bit more, if that makes any any sense whatsoever. It makes a lot of sense.

SPEAKER_02

How about you try it for 2025 and you come back and let the listeners know if it works?

SPEAKER_00

How does your ADHD brain feel about that? My ADHD brain immediately goes, Okay, I'm gonna have to put that in my calendar because I need to find time to do it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I do have another idea for that too, because you could also have an accountability partner, somebody that accountability checking.

SPEAKER_02

Could all do that. You know what? We could all do that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I love that. How's it going? Are you remembering to check in? How are you feeling about this? Is this still your goal? Has it changed? Has it shifted? There's so many things.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, maybe maybe the three of us could do something like that together and kind of report back. We could get together on Zoom and kind of create, you know, obviously in our different areas, create our own vision boards kind of together and make it kind of a fun little thing.

SPEAKER_02

Have some wine and get your magazines and your board. Magazines and your yeah, I love it. Right.

SPEAKER_01

That's what we do. Yeah. What do you think? I think it's a great idea. And I really love that Chris always starts with, well, you could grab the wine before you get your vision board. It's you gotta, you know, you gotta enjoy it.

SPEAKER_02

Light a candle. I have Libra and Venus, so I'm all about the ambiance.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, exactly. And then another way to tap into your manifestations too. I just have a couple more. I did write a list because I'm kind of goodless, and that's my thing. But when you go into meditation, that could always be a time too, as you're walking into meditation, see yourself walking into that place or being at that place already. That would be a really great way. And then also, and I love these, I'm all about them affirmations.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, I have them on I have an app that pops up on my phone and gives them to me. I love those. It makes me stop and get into that.

SPEAKER_00

I I love I love affirmations, and I think the one thing that I'll throw out is trying to use those I am statements is really, really, really, really powerful.

SPEAKER_01

And I have been doing that because on our social media we do have I've been doing chakra affirmations, but in this round of them, I changed them to I am, I see, I speak, I love. So I did change it up because there's so much power in those individual statements rather just than just saying the root chakra affirmation. Like I really have tried to change it up and put more power behind it, also.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, I love that. I think there is there really is so much power in I am statements because you know, I I just going back to the yacht thing, I am on a yacht. I am a yachter, I am a yachter.

SPEAKER_02

I am a yacht. Is that a word? I don't know. I just made it up, I guess. I pay yacht taxes, I am a yacht.

SPEAKER_01

You guys crack me up. Well, can we shift just a little bit before we close out this episode and really maybe step into saying goodbye to 2024? Do you have anything you do at the end of the year to step into review, let's say, and then to be able to release it? Because I do have some ideas, but I know you guys do things too.

SPEAKER_02

I don't anymore, but I've got an idea. You know, I used to do this in college to help me go to sleep a long time ago, and the image just popped in my head. So I really feel like intuitively it's for someone listening. But the end of the year, light a candle, say a prayer, affirmation, or or anything that comes up for you, and then close your eyes, get centered, and imagine starting in January 2024 and closing all those doors of experiences up until the last day of 2024. And it's like closing out the year and re and coming in refresh to 2025.

SPEAKER_01

My gosh, I love that.

SPEAKER_02

I literally would do that in college. I would lay down and I would close the door to every experience. So I would put myself to sleep because my mind would want to think about it.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Exactly. And I take a slightly different approach when I'm closing out my year. I will take time to sit down with a pen and paper and write down the highlights of the year and also. The lowlights of the year because the highlights bring us joy, the lowlights bring us lessons, and we need to be grateful for all. So I will write them all down. I will sit with them, think about what they meant to me, and then I'll send gratitude to them. Thank you for the lessons and thank you for the joy in this year. And now it's time for me to release them. Now there's different ways you can release them. You can go to a fire and set them free, throw them into the fire releasing it. Or, I mean, kind of the idea of a diary too. You can stick it away in a notebook and revisit in a couple of years and remember where you were and the experiences that taught you then and the experiences that challenged you then.

SPEAKER_02

We should be doing that because one day it could be a great book when we're in our 70s and just eh. That sounds a lot like a lot of work though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's a little bit of work, but it's worth it. But obviously, I don't do it because I don't have a book written right now about that. So I should.

SPEAKER_00

I typically do very similar things that like you just did an example of. Like I'm a like when it comes to closing out the year, I usually just kind of write a letter to the year and burn it to release it. And that's kind of if I do something, that's usually what I've done.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. And then saying goodbye to 2024, almost like when you cleanse your house, you got to get rid of the negative energy and the old energy to bring in the new energy. So we've released the 2024. So now it's time to bring in 2025. Do you set any parameters around that? Or I don't know if that parameters is a good word. Do you set do you set yourself up to enter 2025 in a certain direction?

SPEAKER_00

Does that make sense? What you're saying makes sense. It's it's like, are you setting yourself up energetically somehow to bring in the the new year? And I think with the release of 2024, I know for me releasing the the past and in the in in the last year allows me to kind of be open to that new energy coming in.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. How about you, Carissa? I have one. I would try to be creative and come up with one, but I don't. Okay. Well, for me, you know, I'm not really a resolution person, but I do like to set goals and like maybe markers throughout the year that I would like to reach. So I do that. And then I usually take that list and I tuck it away somewhere and then revisit it before the end of the year and see how far I came and where I fell short. And would I put that on my list next year or have I outgrown it?

SPEAKER_00

So you just reminded me of something actually. I typically will do a 12-card reading for myself of card per month and write it all out and then revisit it at the end of the year to see kind of very similar to those markers of the year in the past. I'm I'm very curious. I'm not sure where last year's was, but I know I sat down and did it last year. Very curious about the cards that I pulled.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and how they line up to everything that you now know happened because that was a, you know, a feeling, and now you know the outcome. So that's really interesting. One other thing I will say real quick, because I forgot to say it. When I am writing my list of goals, again, I use that statement, I will, rather than I will do this, I will do that, and try to bring it in a little bit stronger through action.

SPEAKER_03

Sarah, what was your best goal that you completed this year that you wrote on your list?

SPEAKER_01

I always put on I will be more confident. I do feel more confident, I will have more of an open heart, and I feel that's come true too. But those are kind of general things I put there. Those aren't the more specific things because again, I can't remember them.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I think if I was to step into one that I can recall, it would be being open to all possibilities, especially with how much my life changed over the past year. I think if I was more closed off, I don't think I would be where I am right now, living the life that I'm living with the people that I live with.

SPEAKER_01

And that's one of the things you were saying earlier, too. You might get an outcome, but it's not going to look exactly like you thought it would. And that's okay because it usually fits you better and there's a reason for it. So you just brought this episode full circle, I think. And now I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't remind listeners at this point because we're getting ready to close out that we do have a whole library of episodes now. Anywhere you listen to your favorite podcasts, you can download them, you can leave reviews, you can reach out to us. We're open to all of it. And stepping into 2025, what's coming down the pike, Carissa and Stacy? What do you see for three cups and a dash of spirituality?

SPEAKER_02

Well, one thing I want to say that you meant that came up for me when you said it is those meditations are guided by my spirit guides, and they are here to help everyone open up their intuition. So, regardless of what the title says, jump into it because it is about opening up your intuition and they are there to help you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, learning to commit to that time and again, showing up to that commitment that you've made to yourself and stepping into it. They're wonderful, Carissa. So thank you for adding that.

SPEAKER_02

Plus, I mean, neurobiologically speaking, meditation is such a good thing for the brain, anyway. So just go think that anyway. But side note, it really is there to help you open up your intuition.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. I do too. And I love our listeners and I love my friends, and I am very grateful for the growth there in 2024. I'm excited to see where 2025 is gonna go, where we're gonna be at the end of the year. All right, with that, I'm gonna say stay classy, stay asleep, and stay badassy for another year and ever after. Bye, guys. Bye.
