Hey everyone, on this week's episode of Whispers from the Mist, Conversations from the Spiritual Byway, Stacy and I talk about spiritual protection and boundaries. What does it really mean to feel safe and supported in your own energy? We share a powerful dream that Stacy had and how experiences like this can open the doors to a deeper awareness while also reminding us to protect our space. We will explore simple, grounded ways to do that through intention, prayer, smudging, and setting energetic boundaries. So if you've ever felt overwhelmed or energetically drained, this conversation, it's for you.

SPEAKER_01

Hello, everybody, and welcome to this week's episode of Whispers from the Mists, Conversations from the Spiritual Byway. I am Stacy, and with me is Michelle.

SPEAKER_00

Hello, Stacy. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Good. We came off some pretty big episodes, pretty big energy there, having Melissa as our guest. I know. I am so thankful. Her stories, because they continue, are so fascinating.

SPEAKER_01

They really are. And I think the way she was able to break down kind of how things unfolded just allowed this picture to be painted in a way that you don't often get whenever people are kind of trying to share their story. But it it it's even for her, it seemed like it was a little um raw because for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And I I agree with that. Like she built the whole experience, and then we could break it down a little in the second episode. I do want to give a little bit of a follow-up because I don't know, maybe our episode, our recording kicked up something for her. But when she left here, she had an appointment to show a place. And she sent me a message after she did that, a little bit freaked out, which it kind of freaked me out too. But three men showed up for this appointment. She said, I knew the three men because they were the ones in my dream.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_00

Can you imagine how scary that must have felt? How scary, how raw. Like, what is going on? Did I have a premonition? Was my dream trying to warn me of something or make me aware of something that was, you know, coming up, which again speaks to premonitions, but like what is going on? That is crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Did did she get like the immediate like feeling of I I don't trust these individuals because of that dream, too?

SPEAKER_00

I think so. I think she was trying to sit with it. And I haven't done like a third follow-up. We talked about it a little right when it happened because we were both stunned, because she hadn't really talked about it publicly ever. And it happened in the beginning of April. But to hold on to the images of those people and to open the door and have them standing there, it did really freak her out. And I mean, there's so many different ways. So I kind of sat with it and it felt like a little bit of a warning or a little bit like, are you paying attention to everything going on around you? That's kind of what I picked up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I can imagine. I can also imagine because of, you know, what she had shared from that dream, it wasn't a positive experience. So to open the door and see the people from this like experience that you have, and then seeing them standing there, it it kind of awakens something in you where you're going, oh, tread lightly, be careful, be mindful, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. So she's doing good. But it just was very interesting, the timing of everything, the universal timing. You know, she shared that story. And part of the story that she didn't share is after she had that dream, her and I walk through some protective measures she could take to not only protect herself, but her space. And then I find it very interesting the timing of a dream or an experience you just had too. And I, if you're okay, I'd love for you to share it. And then maybe we can jump into like protection and boundaries and things like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, I'm I'm happy to share because I did. You were actually my first contact. I I sent you a text at like six o'clock in the morning, which was way earlier your time. And I was like, hopefully this doesn't wake her up that I need to get it out too. But last week I woke up from a nightmare for the first time in in a very, very, very long time, in which I was being pulled under a table by a spirit or entity of some sort. And like there were other things that happened in the dream, and I knew the spirit was there, but I couldn't see it. It almost appeared like, you know, in in movies, how they have that like clear distortion when a spirit is going through the room. So you can kind of see it floating, but you can't, you can't see it. You just kind of see that the things behind it are distorted. In the dream prior to this thing latching onto my ankles, I could see it periodically. And I wasn't laughing in the dream, but I was like, this thing is not scary. There's nothing to be worried about. And I remember there were a few other people with me in the space. And I kept saying, we will clear this, but I need everybody to kind of just chill for a few minutes because there was too much activity in the space with the people happening. And then I sat down and this thing latched onto my ankle and yanked me under a table in the dream. And what's what was more so interesting is I'm not one to talk in my sleep, nor have I ever really been one to talk in my sleep. But my husband ended up waking me out because I was trying to call out. And he said that he had never heard me make a noise like that before. And it actually terrified him because I was, uh he said you were moaning, you were like trying to get away from something. And he goes, you could tell that whatever you were experiencing was terrifying. And so he finally woke me up right as I was being ripped under the table by this entity, and it shook me up. My heart rate was super, super high. It took me about an hour to calm down. So I woke up at about 3 a.m. and I wasn't able to calm back down and go back to sleep until close to four.

SPEAKER_00

And I think I touched up around six. The witching hour, too. I mean, the timing of the dream, the fact that in the episode we had recorded a couple days before, I called you out for not wanting to be touched by anything. And then here in this dream you're having an experience. But then it almost sounds like, as you said, a movie, poltergeist is coming to mind when that clown comes and pulls him under the bed. Like that would be terrifying. That is not a dream or an experience I would like to have.

SPEAKER_01

No, it was it was something, and it's something that I have not experienced. So when I woke up, the first thing that I did was stepped into kind of a protection of sorts. You know, I reached out to Archangel Michael and asked him to surround me and protection and remove anything that might be in my space that's not supposed to be there. I also reached out to my guide Simon and I was like, Simon, WTF. Like this, this is not allowed. This is, this is, this breaks, you know, I don't want to say my spiritual rules, but that's that's I I'm very, very protective of the bedroom and the space for that reason, because I don't want these experiences to wake me up in the middle of the night. So when I got up in the morning, I reached out, I did reach out to you. And I I knew I was kind of because you are so such a beautiful, busy soul. I was like, whenever you have a chance, if you can tap in, please do let me know what you're thinking. Because I wasn't getting a good handle on was this male, was this female, what, what's the purpose of this? You know, what what am I looking for in this? And it was scary.

SPEAKER_00

Well, Stacy, I'm listening to you. And first of all, I am shocked that it only took you an hour to fall back asleep after that happened. I would have been up for the rest of the night and maybe the night after, that would have really freaked me out. Do you think that calling in Archangel Michael and putting in those additional protective measures made it easier for you to come back to normal, both physiologically and psychological?

SPEAKER_01

I think that because I depend on Archangel Michael for pretty much all of my clearings and depend on Simon as well, that I knew without fail, he would show up because I called him in. You know, and and that's I think one of the key, key pieces. And I know we're gonna talk about Archangels at some point in time, I think in a future episode, but the only way you can get support from Archangels is if you call them in. So you they they're not just gonna show up just because they feel like it. They're they, you know, they're always available, but they're not just gonna kind of pop in and be like, oh, let me help you. So knowing that I'm able to kind of tap into that level of protection and support made it so I was able to calm down. I mean, it also helps too that my dog was literally on top of me because she is like my sidekick and glued to my side if I'm if I'm going to sleep or relaxing in any capacity. She's always with me. And I had my husband who was able to wake me up. And even though he was able to go back to sleep quickly, he put his hand just on my back. So I knew I wasn't alone physically, which really does offer comfort. That would help.

SPEAKER_00

Definitely. And with your dog being there, did she pick up on anything while you were having that dream? Was she agitated in that space? Or how would you describe her?

SPEAKER_01

It's it's bizarre to say this. My husband noticed. She did not, she did not seem to really have a reaction. And I'm almost wondering it if it's because I'm not a just calm sleeper. I think I move around a lot in my sleep. So she's kind of used to that. It it's I I think even for Steve, it's it was the the noises and and me, like he could tell that I there was something happening that was not good in whatever was going on in in my dream. That's what freaked him out the most. He because even like a day or so later, and I know I already said this, but he was like, I've never heard you make those noises before, and I never want to hear them again. Because he could tell that I was just terrified. And going back to my my biggest hang up with spiritual, spirituality in general, is my number one rule is do not touch me. Do not touch me, do not physically, like I do not want physical touch. And that's been a boundary from the very beginning. And, you know, I'm I'm I'm wanting you to share what when you tapped in, what you came up with. But before you do, one of the things at my work, which we've talked about, seems to be very haunted and having, you know, with presents and and and just different experiences. And I've had a few more since since we talked about it last time. But when I go downstairs in our basement to do laundry, we have to stand on a stool that's probably about a foot off the ground in order to get stuff out of the washing machines, which is not a big deal. But every time I do, I literally turn around and look around me and I say, Don't touch me. Don't push me, don't touch me, because you can feel that presence, particularly in the basement. And that is always my biggest thing is I'm gonna fall into a washing machine.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would be graceful, wouldn't it? So your very first rule, as you said, is do not touch me. Your very second rule is do not enter my sleeping space. And both of those seem to have been violated. Now, I do have a question because we are going to, in a future episode, talk about discernment. Do you actually think you were in a place where that spirit was there? Or do you think it was just a dream, maybe asking you to evaluate something else going on?

SPEAKER_01

I am going to say that I think it's a little bit both. So my ankle actually hurt when I woke up. So there's there's this kind of interesting experience that you get when you step into even traveling spiritually, that if things happen to you in, you know, other places, you can actually have physical things occur in your body that kind of are in alignment with that. Hopefully that made sense. And when I woke up, my ankle was throbbing. And it was not, like I know I said my dog was laying on top of me. She was not on my ankle. My ankle was actually outside of the covers and kind of it, which which was very interesting too. But it also had me reflecting on some of the recent changes and developments that I've had in my own personal life, where, you know, we've talked about my shifting into a different role, into a different job, and the anxiety and fear and worry that kind of comes with that too.

SPEAKER_00

And the reason I ask because we have not talked about this. You sent me a text message in which you said you had an experience with the spirit and you were pulled by your ankle. I thought you said under the bed, but under the table, under something, you know, both could happen. And so I was having a crazy day that day. It was very busy. So I'm like, I'll tap in as soon as I get a chance. I'm so sorry. But before I could even tap in, I started to have feelings come through about it. And when I'm on to something or when something is hitting correctly, it doesn't let go. It starts to loop and it keeps going back to the same thought. It won't let me break that cycle. And so then that night when I went into meditation, it was kind of that same thing, but expanded. I saw more pieces come in and I'm like, I'm gonna send this to Stacy. She's going to think I'm crazy, but you were so gracious about it. And some things maybe resonated, and some things I guess you'll find out. Right.

SPEAKER_01

I'm actually looking back to review because I think you said it felt like Chinese handcuffs. You could feel them on your middle fingers, a reminder that the more you fight, the harder they hold. And relaxing is a way to actually remove Chinese handcuffs, right? And that was interesting because I think one of the, like for me, when that came through, and I hope you don't mind me reading what you sent me, what came through was perhaps I need to let go of this boundary a little bit because maybe touch is important. Or maybe I will get more information if I allow things to come through while I'm sleeping. I don't think I would do both at the same time. We're good, we're good there. Again, I think I'm going to continue to keep my my bedroom as a super safe space, but in meditation outside of that safe space, opening up to physical touch might be something worthwhile, relaxing that boundary a little bit. And then I think you said that there was an awareness in the back left part of your head, a throbbing around your nose. And you felt a female energy because you had to explain it more than once. A very manipulative energy is what I was kind of gathering when I read that.

SPEAKER_00

Almost manipulative, but a pampered energy, like in life, maybe not being told no very often or having soft boundaries around her. And I'm finding this fascinating because, again, we haven't talked in person about this, but the entity touched your leg, and I was experiencing physically in meditation, which I don't always do.

SPEAKER_01

And that, and that's interesting, and it's kind of in alignment with, you know, my current place of employment. It's not that everyone walking through the door has that energy about them, but some certainly do, where it's my way. I don't care if you can't do it. You're gonna make it happen. You know, I joke and and I say the one day that it really showed me where I was working was the day someone walked in and said, Do you know who I am? And I was like, No, I need your name so I can, you know, do my piece. It it has that kind of energy to it. And and when you said that, it I immediately put myself at work. And I said, I haven't, you know, been able to, I haven't been back at work since I think you you were able to tap in and check it out. But when I do go in, I'm going to try to find just a few minutes to kind of sit with that energy to see if it is coming from there.

SPEAKER_00

And it was very interesting too. When I was meditating, I could feel your boundaries set and you would welcome me into them. So I wasn't anywhere I wasn't supposed to be. You asked me to tap in, which I did. And I did say to this thing, she will help you, but she doesn't want to be touched. And she doesn't need you in her bedroom. She doesn't need you messing with her, her husband, or any animal in the house. So back it up. So I could see backing up, and then I could almost see like these lightning bolts coming from your core, like just pushing and repelling things up, out, away. That's what I heard. Up, out, away.

SPEAKER_01

When you gave me that visual, because I was just, again, I was rereading that, and it reminds me of my personal protective boundary that I have set that almost feels like a moving energy around my personal self that blocks or or it's almost it reminds me kind of like a bug zapper. Everybody's seeing them where things hit it and go. And that's and that's kind of what my energy that I surround myself with does for spirit when when I'm not open to it. It's it's not, it's not, it doesn't zap them, but it it gives them the energy or the feedback that they need to either cross over or wait. You know, it puts them in kind of a holding pattern until I can step, step into it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm getting the feeling she is ready to cross over. And she's not a bad person. She just is surprised that it's over already and just needs a little connection, a little validation. And then I think she's gonna be ready to cross. So we were gonna talk about spiritual boundaries and protection today. So, do you want to share why spiritual boundaries and protection are important?

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, if you do not protect or if you don't protect yourself or if you don't have boundaries, you are opening yourself up 24-7 to experiences that don't necessarily need to be in the forefront of your life, just to put it very broadly.

SPEAKER_00

And I am thinking that if you're listening to this podcast, you are probably a beacon of light. And you will attract things in, whether or not you're doing it intentionally or unintentionally, as that beacon of light, they can see it. And so it's very important. I'm not saying this to scare you. I'm just saying these are lessons that all of us have learned sometimes the hard way. And they're they're very important to recognize that you are a beacon of light. And as so you'll be drawing in positive energy, but sometimes there's negative energy out there. And it could just be a negative, ticked-off, low vibrational person who's upset to be on the other side. It doesn't mean it's going to be something evil like we've been taught in churches. In the majority sort of thing.

SPEAKER_01

I think all of the things really exist in a way, but a lot of them are not meant for most people's experiences, which I think is really important to note is, you know, those quote unquote, and I hate using the term evil, but those bad things that are out there are really not meant for everyone's experience in this life. And I think one of the biggest key points to utilizing protection and making sure that, you know, you are being careful and not opening yourself up all the time, is it can become physically, emotionally, and psychologically exhausting. I don't, I'm not open all the time. You know, when people find out that I'm a psychic medium, the first thing that I typically get is, do you see anything around me? And I'm like, no, I don't because I'm not looking. I'm not looking. That's not, that's not my role. I don't tap into people quickly. I don't or at all because it's unethical. Number one. Number two, I can't be on all the time. And if I was, I would be exhausted.

SPEAKER_00

It would be exhausting to be completely tapped into as an empath, even hearing, feeling, sensing, knowing everybody's emotions around you and picking up on perhaps what they're going through commonly. You wouldn't be able to. You, I no, it would just be too overwhelming. And I already get overwhelmed in crowds, even when I'm tapped out. It's really, really weird. And as you said, when you don't protect yourself, it affects you. Physically, you can feel very tired, you can get dizzy, you can feel like you have a headache emotionally, you can be all over the place. You could be very happy one minute, very upset another minute, spiritually, again, just drained, questioning like your role in things. Like if you don't protect yourself, those are some of the things you can feel physically mentally.

SPEAKER_01

It can also lead to addictions of different sorts because you know, being drained in that capacity can can open the door to how do I alleviate this? What do I need? And that's where you kind of find different addictive disorders kind of coming up. I know I have done a clearing for an individual in the past that did have a major addiction, and a piece of it was an attachment. And it's not because they had done anything wrong, but because they were so open to all of these spiritual activity in their area that it just opened them up for an attachment and negative experiences.

SPEAKER_00

And what I want to remind people too, if you are meant to have an experience here on earth, you're gonna have the experience, even if you have protective boundaries, energetic boundaries around you. I know, and I'm not gonna jump in too deeply into this, I was protected. I did go through my whole protection routine before stepping into meditation and meeting with a member of my spirit team. And I still picked up an attachment there because it was attached not only to me, but to a lesson I was supposed to learn. And the feelings of it, the thought pattern of it, the times it would come up, it it just I knew it wasn't me. And I think I finally told you, because you're the one that helped me clear it. I think I have an attachment. And you're kind of like, well, I don't know, I'll check in and you know, when we do the Reiki session, and you're like, oh yeah, it's there. And so it's a very fascinating story, which I'll share later. But for me, I was protected going in, but it was a lesson I was meant to have. And so no matter what protection I put around me, if that lesson is meant for me, it's gonna find me. And again, not to scare people, but just to be honest about like. Right.

SPEAKER_01

And I think the key thing there is, you know, I I know for you and I, we've both experienced kind of an attachment of sorts. We had to experience it too, because we were helping people remove them. So there is a big piece of understanding from the inside what you're helping people remove and and alleviate in their life. And, you know, it's it it sounds scary and it's not a great experience, certainly, but I know I needed it whenever I experienced it because as much as it sucked, I learned from it.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Because how are we gonna be able to validate or understand what they're going through if we haven't gone through it ourselves? I mean, would I understand what it felt like to have someone else talking to you and knowing it's not your thoughts had I not been there? No, I wouldn't even know to ask about that or what that felt like. So very good point, Stacy. And you're impressed. Not really. You always are impressed.

SPEAKER_01

I think the other piece around protection is it doesn't have to be a 20, 30, 40 minute process. You can simply say, hey, Archangel Michael, hey, spirit guides, hey, whomever is surrounding me, please protect my energy from things that I don't have to experience. And that can be it. And that's sufficient because then you are kind of tapping into the outside world and saying, I don't want to experience anything that I'm not supposed to. And you close, you don't close yourself off to experiences, but you close yourself off to what is not meant for you.

SPEAKER_00

And I will say when I go into meditation, or one of the times I'm intentionally stepping in for a certain purpose or for my own uh spiritual well-being, I always walk myself through a full protection. And that is basically connecting with earth, asking to have anything that doesn't belong to me removed and pushed away from me, then bringing in light to fill up those places that were just voided, and then asking my guide team to put a bubble around me in order to keep things that aren't meant for me away from me. I fortify that bubble with other energy. I ask for it to look glass-coated. So if entities come at it with bad intentions, they can't even see me. They just see a reflection of themselves. It's slippery, you can't attach to it. So I go to those steps in meditation to protect myself. But as you said, in the moment, living life, oh my God, I feel a little uneasy here. I feel like there's something in the room with me. Archangel Michael, please assist me because he is a warrior, he's strength, he's protection. Or if I'm scared or if I'm going on a trip, I call in Archangel Raphael because he is the traveler angel protecting you. So I'm, and I can now go through my bigger process, my bigger spiritual visualization much quicker too, if I need to. And it's just like, you know, I tap my tapping, I use tapping like to represent the different steps that I go through. And then I feel like I'm loving what you use tapping. It's such a great tool. Yeah, which we'll have to do a whole episode. I mean, I cannot lead that episode. I'd have to lean way into you because you have had the training in it. Um, but I know we've worked on it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's a great tool. And it's it's such a physical like reminder of what you're what you're doing, that it's it's beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

It is. And, you know, we've talked about so the visualization, the things that we can do to protect our own body, but there are things we can do to protect our space and surroundings too. We can push our bubble out to include that or add a secondary bubble. We can, of course, use those smelly things you don't like, the sage. We can use Palo Santo to clear that space. We can create perimeters with salt, always using intention, bringing in prayer, just having a little bit of a routine as to how we do and putting the intention. Again, intention is so important.

SPEAKER_01

Intention is absolutely key. And utilizing crystals, you know, I wear black, I wear onyx, I have onyx necklace, but my engagement ring is also onyx. And in looking at it as a form of protection again, you know, any any um crystals that are utilized, you can kind of tune them to what you are seeking for. Black tourmaline, you have selenites, amethysts. Yeah, they can just be a presence, or you can just set them in a space and and they will protect it as long as that you set the intention, like I'm putting this here for protection.

SPEAKER_00

And I can't believe I forgot crystals when I'm going through all the different like protective things. Oh, just forget crystals. That's so important. But also important is like natural foliage, natural things around the doorway. I mean, there are several different religions that use that to ward off things unwanted.

SPEAKER_01

And one of the things that I remember reading is to avoid having a welcome mat that says come in at your front door or back door, because that can be an invitation for certain spirits to just walk in, walk into your home, like through the threshold. And that's kind of like I'm stepping a little bit into like the idea that if you have a welcome mat, you can be welcoming perhaps fairies in or pay, which are known to be really a trickster energy that can manipulate and things just start disappearing in your home. And I don't like again, I'm I'm a believer that if you believe in it, that's when you step in and you you kind of look at your welcome mat to figure out what is am I actually inviting things in, or am I just saying, you know, this is my threshold stop here. So it's I think I think it's a lot based on what you believe too.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good one to remember. You know, now we're talking about energy coming into your space. And let me tell you, that freaks me out. I need to know the person coming into my house, even when I have people coming over to fix something. Like I'm so grateful that they're there, but it sketches me out a little bit. And my husband, he's so funny. He's like, we should get a house in Airbnb it. And I'm like, are you kidding me right now? Right. I could not deal with all the energy, even if it's unknown to me, coming in and out of that space. It would feel too busy. I'd be like saging it or cleansing it every day. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I would be too.

SPEAKER_00

Again, you know, there are lots of different ways to protect yourselves. Just get into the routine of what is right for you. I know when I do a session as a tarot reader or just giving people information, I do put my protection around me. I then see it extending to the tool that I'm using, usually my tarot cards, and then out to my reader. And I do ask that any information shared or conveyed in this reading stay between us and be protected. And that information coming through is actually for greatest and highest good. No trickster energy. So I know a lot of people who do readings do that at the very beginning. They say a prayer. And I do remember to do that, but it's very protected even before I step into the energy of energy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's it's very true. And it and it really needs to be protected because you can open yourself up to so so much.

SPEAKER_00

Definitely. And remember, you know, protective boundaries, they can be energetic, they can be mental, just that awareness, that intention. They can be emotional for empaths. You really need this because you're absorbing everything. And sometimes it's hard to tell what is yours and what isn't. So that awareness around that and creating a routine to protect yourself is important. And then those physical anchors too, those things in the physical world that maybe, I don't know, that would be interesting too. Like something every time you see it, it grounds you, and that's automatic protection. Just like little things throughout your house that when you see it, you know that you've put that protective intent and it just brings you to the city.

SPEAKER_01

Or I mean, it can be a landmark when you're driving. If you drive somewhere every day, it can be one specific thing that you see that that loops you in and grounds you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, definitely. And I remember I talked to my friend Sam. He's been a guest a way long time ago. And he said, when you come home, light a candle and ask to release anything that doesn't belong to you and it stays there and for protection. I love it too. And that's just again the routine and the intent behind it, the awareness that you're doing that. So, do you have anything else at this point that you'd like to say about protective boundaries? Do you think we've given everyone enough ideas as to how the protective boundaries are?

SPEAKER_01

So I don't have anything to add.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have questions today? I do have questions, and I will say this is not a one-and-done conversation. If you've listened to this episode and you have questions, send them in to us and we will be happy to answer them to the best of our ability.

SPEAKER_01

I love it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Well, here are your three listener questions for the week. What do you do that truly makes you feel safe in your space? Do you think that when you set protections, you're doing it out of a place of fear or place of connection? And do you trust your ability to protect your space? Okay, well, Stacey.

SPEAKER_01

All right, everybody, stay curious. That's what you know.

SPEAKER_00

Along the spiritual byway. Until next time, protect your energy and see it. Bye. Thank you so much. I'm gonna go to the show with someone who might be able to five other things. Thank you so much for taking this time to be here with us while scratching. Wherever you are in your journey right now. No, you're not alone. We're here for you, and we're all in this together.
