In this episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality, we dive into the ways astrology can illuminate your path and help you step fully into your unique intuitive gifts. We'll explore how your chart may highlight strengths and challenges and hidden potentials, and how those insights can guide you towards your own authentic niche in the spiritual and intuitive space. Play that music.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't even know if I say that word correctly, but I think Stacy brought up the idea of this topic. And I'm like, yes, I love it. So yeah, how do you find it? How do you stick with it? How do you know when you're there? There's so many questions surrounding your spiritual niche.

SPEAKER_00

And what the heck is a spiritual niche?

SPEAKER_01

Stacy, great question. What do you think a spiritual niche?

SPEAKER_00

She's like, here, let me turn that right around on you. So my brain, when we talk about niches, talks talks to specialties or the thing that we find we are drawn to do more than others. For example, you talk about being a psychic or being a medium. Some people are more psychic than they are medium, and vice versa. So a spiritual niche or an intuitive niche is what are we stepping into that we kind of specialize, and I say that with air quotes, specialize in, that we focus on more than we tend to focus on other things.

SPEAKER_01

And I think we all must have had a niche that brought us to this turning point in our lives, it brought us to the beginning of our spiritual journey. I know for me, I always had a fascination in the things that went bumping the nights. So maybe one person could say, My spiritual niche is I wanted to see a spirit, an aberration, a ghost. I wanted to investigate it. So maybe that paranormal investigation for me was my first niche. Now it's evolved from there. How about you? Do you remember what brought you front and center?

SPEAKER_00

Me or Carissa? Either. For me, it was the need to help other people find their blocks. And it still kind of is that to this day. Because I know even at 13 years old, when I started reading Tarot, I was always looking at problems and solutions whenever I was reading for somebody. There's you, there was usually I would invite them to give me a topic. Let's talk about what you want to talk about. Let's focus on that with the cards. And looking at them and collectively like going, oh, I see where the hangup is. This is kind of the the sticking point. And to this day, that's that's my niche, so to speak. What about you, Carissa?

SPEAKER_02

So for me, I was always interested in the spirituality world, religion, all kinds of religions. I was just always interested. And that goes into a lot of reasons why. And then my spirit guides woke me up. And I feel like now, okay, so psychic mediumship. I I have a lot of planets in 12, so it's very heavy for me. I don't, and as a therapist, I don't like doing too much of it because it's so heavy for me. So, listeners, if you have a lot, one or two planets in your 12th, this is really gonna make sense. A lot of this stuff is just really heavy. And being a spiritual teacher isn't my chart. So then I got interested in astrology because I'm very left brain. And I'm a somatic therapist, psychotherapist, but I'm very left brain. I need to figure out the whys. And that's why I've moved into astrology, but still I don't want to read astrology charts. I integrate it with my counseling because it tends to get too heavy. Like I need the concrete stuff. For example, we're going through an eclipse right now. It's the Virgo and eclipse. And eclipses tend to shake things up sometimes in surprising ways, but regardless, we're meant to grow through them, right? So I can tell the two of you, like for me, my based on just your rising sign, and there's so much to it. For me, I have Scorpio rising. So friendships, communities might change suddenly. And it's really about aligning with people and visions that support me and not just the ones that I've outgrown. So, and that really is what I'm going through right now. Like I am clearing out space for to be with people whom I connect with and that support me and align with me. So this is really fascinating, Stacy. So for Virgo Rising, this is a this eclipse season for you is about a powerful new chapter begins. You feel like shedding old skin, your appearance, confidence, or even the way you move through the world could shift, and you're stepping into a truer version of yourself.

SPEAKER_00

What's very interesting, right? I was actually telling Michelle, I relaunched my business last week. Like literally again, ground up. So very interesting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So, Michelle, do you want me to read your? But in that cool, like we have concrete stuff and we know this is what we're shifting into. So, Michelle, do you want me to read yours?

SPEAKER_01

Of course.

SPEAKER_02

Don't leave me in the dark here.

SPEAKER_01

Don't leave inside.

SPEAKER_02

So, Michelle is Leo rising. And this is again, you can't just think of money, but financial opportunities or challenges may surface. This eclipse is going to help you see your values are shifting. So it's not just about money, it's about how you feel worthy of abundance and care. Is that connecting with you at all?

SPEAKER_01

It is. Kind of shifting that way. I think about something and how I can self-care better and what that means and what my relationship is like to my own health and to things like that. Oh, that's fascinating, right? Yeah. Yeah, that is fascinating.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, so move going back to the question, your niche. For me, my my niche is spiritual teacher, and it took me, you know, I'm 47. I had to go through everything I'm going through to, and I'm still not even fully there yet. And my guides told me I really step into it at 50. But yeah, it's the teacher part is really my neat my niche. And actually, it's really funny. But my mom, when I was little and I come home from daycare and kindergarten, she said she'd find me in my playroom and I'd stack up uh all the stuffed animals and they would be my students, and I was the teacher.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's really cute.

SPEAKER_02

If y'all could sit back and go think about some of the things that you were doing. Stacy's like, have a wizard wand over her.

SPEAKER_00

No, are you cute about you, you literally just shared that memory for you. And my earliest memory of being asked what I wanted to be when I grow up is I wanted to deliver babies. I told people I wanted to be a gynecologist when I was like six years old.

SPEAKER_02

Well, but yeah, but there is around children, families, that kind of stuff too. And you probably, yeah, and you work with younger parts in your your work too. You wanted to be a gynecologist.

SPEAKER_00

How old were you? And how did you even know what a gynecologist was? I just I just knew I wanted to deliver babies. And I think got the word gynecologist. So I would tell people, I want to be a gynecologist. And I had no idea what that actually meant, obviously. But what about you, Michelle?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I have a very vivid memory of Halloween and wanting to be a fairy princess, wanting to create spells and to help people out and to be a beautiful person. So I do remember that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I love that. That's sweet. Well, um, but but more like interestingly, like as far as niche's concerned, like I'm I'm my mind is actually more blown than you realize, Carissa, because uh you you were not privy to a little bit of what Michelle and I were talking about before we jumped on. But I actually left my my job too focused on the business 100%. So for you about, you know, kind of shedding that old into the new and you know, putting the effort and time into creating, you know, my niche and what what I want that to look like. Like it's it's amazing to me that you can look at astrology in such a way and get those tangible answers that that do feel more accurate than you know other things can.

SPEAKER_02

And it's interesting because I remember you we were talking how you felt it was easier being a psychic versus a medium, and you have Jupiter in your eighth. So I'm like, what?

SPEAKER_00

What? I I think I'm more medium than I than I realize, but I think it shows up differently. What do you mean? I because so that was a lot of starting of sentences. When we talk about our fear, and I know we've talked about our fears in past episodes. One of my, I'm gonna say biggest fears has always been to see things like with my eyes, like actually experience spirituality, like seeing ghosts and stuff like that. Big fear of mine. So we talk about mediums and communication. A lot of individuals that can see, they get more information a little bit differently, a little bit more easily than say someone that feels like I do.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know what? I'm reading this about your Jupiter and eight. So it is more psychic abilities versus mediumship. So that does make sense. Sorry. You're born with psychic abilities, gifts of dreams, clairvoyant, intuitive gifts to share the world. So that does make sense. Yeah. But again, I come from the paradigm that everyone's a medium. You can connect. Sorry. I, you know.

SPEAKER_01

No, I agree with you. I do. I just am a little more cautious with that connection piece just because I worry about giving people false hope. Like, what if I didn't really tap in? I mean, the information came from somewhere. This is what I received. So it does make me a little more nervous. So I think that maybe shuts itself down a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and images. I'll get images, and I'm just like, guys, you're gonna have to interpret that on your own because I I will get the image and it is meant something else. And a lot of times clients will be like, oh yeah, it means this, blah, blah, blah. I I mean, I don't know. And so being a psychic like that, trying to interpret those images all the time, that's exhausting.

SPEAKER_00

I see, that's that's the part that I I enjoy. But I I think too, it it's all about how we get information as well, right? So we talk about niches in that sense, and and part of the niche is learning how to interpret the gifts that you have, right? So, like for me, when I get those images or get, you know, feelings or am pulled in a certain direction, usually the interpretation is shortly to come right after. Would you agree with that, Michelle?

SPEAKER_01

I I would. And actually, while you were talking about that, I was going back to where I started my spiritual journey. I was just very interested in connecting to that which was just beyond my reach. And, you know, the first step, and people might find this very interesting, that I stepped into is I didn't expect to learn so much about myself in those first few moments and to learn that I needed to let go of learned behavior in order to find authentic me. And then once I found authentic me, then I could look at what came next. Like this is what my interest is. But now I feel really grounded. I'm accepting who I am, I'm letting go of the noise, I'm letting go of the anxiety, those lower vibrational energies, which is opening me up to so much more. So let me try numerology. That was interesting, but maybe not my full cup of tea. So let me try tarot and didn't just bring those things in. I mean, just because you have an interest there, if you jump in and it doesn't last a lifetime, that's okay. You learned a little bit more about something, and then you can move on to find your niches. And I really have been going through the stages of that in my personal life, but it really did start with that self-growth piece and that recognizing who we are, and then allowed me to step into other things like readings. And I'm not a life coach, but I get a lot of advice from my methods, my readings.

SPEAKER_00

And what's interesting is one of the terms that keeps coming through to me from the jump when we hit when when we first hit record is authentic self. Authentic self. Like who are you at your core? And if you're being authentic to yourself, where are your strengths and where do they lie? And you know, that's kind of the cool thing, you know. I I I love like talking to you, Carissa, for example, about astrology because that seems to satisfy that analytical rate because you have like point, right? Like you have specific guidelines essentially that you're looking at. Right. You're focusing on like where it is is the crux of you know, energy that you can harvest to move forward with your life. And it's it's so cool when you kind of step back and you look at like just that alone and the ability to step into your strength and and doing the research, Carissa, and and doing those things. It's it's really neat. Fun, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And, you know, Carissa has inspired me to start working a little bit with Chat GPT. And gosh, I I love Chat GPT. And so before this episode started, I asked Scout, that's what I call mine, you know, tell me a little bit about finding your niche. And it came up with like five pointers, and we've covered many of them. Do you mind if I just go through them and then we can add on our thoughts about them? Yeah. The first pointer they said is you have to follow what energizes you. So what does that mean? Kind of like what I said, you have an interest there. You feel energized when you think about it. Explore it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What do you guys think?

SPEAKER_02

Love that. Love that. And I mean, on our podcast, this is what we say. We are students of the universe. We really are. We all we all three of us love to learn. We all three love to learn.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Definitely. The number two thing it came up with is explore without pressure. And it says just try the different modalities. And don't expect to be a master at anything in the beginning. And like let's say you're trying tarot and you're trying Reiki, maybe you can find a way to blend those together. And that's what speaks to you. So just explore without pressure. It doesn't have to again be forever.

SPEAKER_02

I love that.

SPEAKER_01

I do too. The next one I really love. Yeah, have fun with it. The next one I love so much, it's pay attention to patterns. And how many times in this podcast have we talked about patterns or things that keep reappearing on our path? Pay attention to those things. If you see numbers everywhere, maybe that's a call to numerology or understanding angel numbers better. If you keep seeing television commercials, social media ads on tarot readings, maybe that's your call to try tarot. What do you ladies think?

SPEAKER_02

I say go for it.

SPEAKER_01

Definitely. Definitely.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And the next thing ChatGPT said is listen to your body and intuition. And we've been talking a little bit about that today. Does something feel heavy and or does it feel right? Like what is your body telling you about what you're wanting to do?

SPEAKER_02

And if something feels heavy for you now, maybe you're because I say the body is connected to the unconscious, which is tech connected to intuition and everything else. So if your body feels heavy around, let's say, tarot cards or astrology or mediumship, that doesn't mean it's going to be like that forever. It could just for right now. And then you go back to it five years from now and you learn and you step into it and you have fun.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that could definitely be timing. Yeah, absolute sure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And the last one, which I love so much, is accept evolution because the only thing that stays the same is the ability to change and evolve. And something that speaks to you out can grow into something else, or something you're not spiritually ready for right now. Maybe in the future you can revisit. You have an understanding of it. What do you ladies think?

SPEAKER_02

I'm all about evolution. I can't stand and Stacy has this in her chart. I can't stand staying still. I get bored. I have to keep growing.

SPEAKER_00

Same. Yeah. No, I I mean, obviously you just said I have it in my chart, but I I find that, you know, I I might read the same as I always have because I step into that familiar pattern. But I'm always looking at ways to shift and grow and learn things or expand just a little bit more because learning and evolving and changing your even approach can can really make a difference, not just for you, but for the people that are in your life that you're surrounded by. You know, I know especially with like readings and stuff like that, who I'm reading for it is really going to determine how I approach the reading. Yeah. And you know, it's it's always interesting because I trust my guides. And my guides are like, no, you need like five decks for this reading, or nope, you just need one. And and usually they guide me to which deck I use. And it's I and I I never know what the reading is actually going to look like because I have to step into the flow and kind of go with the person I'm reading.

SPEAKER_01

And doing a, let's say, Reiki healing session with Stacy, you see that she has taken her knowledge in different areas and blended them together for something that works for her. Because she you're gonna go into the healing session and she's gonna present you if it felt right to draw a tarot card. So she's bringing tarot into it. She's bringing angels and her knowledge of angels and guides into it, and then her knowledge of healing too. So she's taken all these things she's learned and has learned to work with them, like we all do. I mean, I that's just the example that popped into my mind when you were talking, Stacey.

SPEAKER_00

And and I mean you have to. Cursa does the same thing. Yes, she does in your in your connection sessions, and I know you did the same thing as well, Michelle, in in your readings. It's they're all different, and and you we all have our niche for a reason. And it's because perhaps the reading that I give somebody today is exactly what they need in their space and time, but they need Carissa tomorrow for something completely different, or they need Michelle the next day for something completely different. And that I think is what is so fascinating about stepping into intuition, getting readings and allowing yourself to be open to that.

SPEAKER_01

And how do we push the boundaries? How do we make it different to reflect who we are more genuine, genuinely? That's a hard word to say. I'm just thinking about this upcoming adventure Chris and I are going on. I know I mentioned it, we mentioned it in the last podcast. But Carissa has created or found some really cool things to do that I've never thought of before. And I'm excited. I'm really excited to see how this works out. But it's just her open her openness and willingness to expand further, to push those boundaries and say, let's just go at it a different way. So you want me to share one of those? Do you want to?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I can. Okay. One time I shared this for on a podcast. I it was 18, 17, 18. There was something in my house, and I turned on the shower, and anyway, it had spoken in my ear and something had moved in the house, but I, you know, I'm like, that was nothing. That's just how I am. Like, that was nothing. Like, that's silly. And then finally I walked in the bathroom and the shower was on, so the steam was there, and someone, something had perfectly drew a smiley face. And so I was using the steamer the other day and I texted Michelle, I was like, I think I'm gonna bring this steamer and put it up to the window and see if anyone wants to put anything in there. And when we shower in our rooms, Michelle, we should keep the door closed to see if anything comes on.

SPEAKER_01

I definitely will. And I know right after we came out of the Sally house, I had to take a shower immediately. And I didn't turn the fan on, the door was closed. And when I stepped out of the shower and I looked back, there were angel wings. So I knew when I had been in that house, my guides, my angels were with me. And they were just letting me know they were there at that point because I was a little sketched out and I I needed that reassurance. I'm like, okay, they're here. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because the reality is we don't really know if is there deep dark energy out there. We really don't. We we really don't. No, we don't. And we don't. I don't want to know. I don't want to know. Because I feel like if I do want to know, I'm gonna have to go through something or step into something. And if that is the case, and I don't want to know.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not here for that challenge, thanks.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not here for that challenge. That's not that's not my role here. So when we go into these places, it is a little nerve-wracking because if there were a lot of negative things that happened in that house, could it draw in some other if there are super dark energies that weren't human? Do does that can that be drawn in? And that's why I'm very particular of where I'm gonna go and stay. It's really not just because the I mean it is the sh the beds too and the cleanliness, but it is also that. Yeah, which makes sense.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, while I'm listening to you, and I know we don't have time for it in this episode, but maybe in the future we can talk about, and I keep hearing this, and that's why I'm bringing it up, a dark night of the soul. Have either of you experienced that or do you know what that is?

SPEAKER_02

You're in a hole psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually, and you're shedding all these programmings that don't work for you.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Not so I think we just should talk eventually to the intensity of it too, because some people will have extreme intense situations for the dark night of the soul, and some won't. And there's no more profound versus the other, if that makes sense. That's my point of view.

SPEAKER_01

It does. I want to do a little more research on it, and then maybe we can have a discussion.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_01

Well, anything else you want to say about a niche, discovering your niche, questions about niches, you guys can send them to us and we will share them here on the podcast. Perfect.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and just stay open to your niche because it should evolve over time.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. Absolutely. It should. Yep. Just think of yourself when you're a newbie at anything, your first day in kindergarten. You're not gonna know the same things you know when you're graduating as a senior. So let it build and expand for you, and your interests will find you, they'll be attracted to you, and you'll figure it out. And we're here to help.

SPEAKER_00

Again, we're always learning. We love to learn. Well, I guess with that, I'm gonna say stay classy, stay sassy, and stay badassy, everyone.

SPEAKER_01

Until next time. Bye. Bye. Thank you for listening to this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality.
