Hello everyone, & welcome to our podcast “Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality”.

In this week’s episode hosts Carissa, Michelle, and Stacy explore the intriguing subjects of dreams, premonitions, and the witching hour. Michelle opens up about her journey with sleep issues and the impact her spiritual awakening has had on her dream experiences. Stacy shares her own struggles with insomnia and how intense spiritual dreams can leave her feeling exhausted. The conversation delves into the significance of dreams, the practice of dream journaling, and the mysterious experiences of astral traveling.

The hosts also discuss the concept of premonitions, with Carissa often receiving them through dreams and Stacy sensing others' paths. The episode finally explores the witching hour, traditionally between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., as a time when the veil between worlds is thinnest. Michelle and Stacy reflect on their beliefs about the witching hour being a prime time for spiritual communication and lessons. The episode wraps up with the hosts encouraging listeners to explore their own spiritual experiences and the profound impact of dreams and premonitions.

SPEAKER_01

On this week's episode, we're gonna talk about dreams, premonitions, and the witching hour. If you like what you hear, please leave us a review wherever you listen to your podcast. Hi everyone, this is Carissa, and welcome to another episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. Today we have also Michelle. Hi, everyone, and Stacy. Hello, hello, hello. And today we're gonna be talking about dreams, spirituality, premonitions. Woo. What why why?

SPEAKER_02

Because it's fascinating. Like, I'm gonna share a quick story here. I used to always have sleep issues, and I still have them to some extent. And I was prescribed ambient. And I really like Ambien because it kind of knocks me out and I don't remember the few minutes before drifting into sleep and I sleep all night. However, since opening up spiritually, I've pushed the Ambien to the side in case I need it. Just once in a while, I'll use it. But it's because I want to have my dreams. I want to remember them. I want to be present and have that opportunity because as many of you know, you wake up, you forget your dreams or what was happening, but I want the possibility of remembering. And with Ambient, I can't. But if I just naturally go to sleep, there's a better likelihood.

SPEAKER_00

See, I'm gonna just tail, like jump right on your tail and say, I'm really bad at sleep. Sleep and I are not friends. Like I actually track my sleep because it's so bad with the aura rink. If you guys have heard of it, would you like it? I love it actually, because now I can it tracks like all of your sleep REM. The different it tracks everything. It deep sleep, yeah, it all of it, which is really cool because then you can kind of see, okay, this time of night I'm typically waking up, or you know, whatever, anything along those lines. In the past like week, my my sleep is tracking down. I mean, there were nights where I only got maybe two hours, four hours, like awful. But many, many months ago, my doctor offered me ambient as well. And I actually had to say no because I would be the one that gets in their car and starts driving and does the things on the medication without knowing that they're doing it because that's a very common symptom as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I just wrestle, you know, sleep, sleep and I and and insomnia are are, you know, very close friends.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I just have to share that one of those side effects too is waking up in the middle of the night and eating. That's one of the things that has happened to me. And I do that anyway. Wake up the next morning and there'll be a bag of Doritos gone. And I you seriously remember eating them, but I don't remember. Carissa, this was kind of your idea, this topic. So do you want to start again?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I want to start. So everyone knows, well, and everyone knows, but a lot of people that have been listening, I'm studying astrology and I had started astrological counseling with a woman who's been a psychotherapist and astrologer for over for around 50 years, and that we're going through each planet and all the conjunctions and aspects. And one thing that was so validating is having a moon in your 12th house. So everybody listening, go to astro.com and look it up. Because if you have your moon in 12th house, it's really important to understand that you are going to have premonitions, but it's not going to look perfect. You know, it's not, it's going to be a little bit different. So when I found that out, I was like, oh my gosh, that makes so much sense. Because I was told in my dreams, I have to turn them and make it about me, which you do. You are going to get some stuff, but the majority of dreams with your moon in your 12th house, you're picking up premises, you're getting premonitions. So please check it out. Stacy has the Jupiter and eighth, which is a blessing of intuition. And Michelle has her 12th and 8th house. She has water signs. Oh, okay. Yes. Which the 12th and 8th main, and there's another one, but 12th and 8th is the main connected to psychic abilities. There's others, you know, there's conjunctions or a bunch of other stuff. But yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So that makes me a bridge between you two, since I have one both in the eighth and the 12th. So I'm doing my job on all levels.

SPEAKER_00

You you're you are, you've never not done your job, Michelle.

SPEAKER_01

But remember, everyone, as long as you have a consciousness, you have intuition.

SPEAKER_02

Everyone's intuitive. Well, what I love about the dreams and what I've walked into since opening up spiritually is it is a way for me to connect because during that time, your conscious mind is sleeping, it's regenerating, it's filing away lessons. So that leaves your subconscious mind available to do all the other spiritual things. I've had visitation dreams, which are amazing. I have had lessons with my guides where I am in it to win it. Like they're telling me, and everything they're saying makes sense. And then I start to wake up and it all disappears. So it's on a subconscious level. I know it's there. And someone said to me, and it might have been Stacy once, that maybe you can't understand it while waking because it's in a different language that you don't know how to speak as a human, which would make sense.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it does, doesn't it though? Because if we think about what the purpose, the actual purpose of dreams is, and this is, you know, through the the science weird stuff, is the the whole reason that we actually dream is to process through the things that are happening in our waking life. You know, our subconscious is processing through the conscious stuff that we go through every day. So if we think about it just with that, you know, statement, you know, that that has been said many times, we can look at dreams of information or intuitive ability as our subconscious' way of giving us a heads up about the things that might be coming through, might be coming to pass. Hey, hey, consciousness, you need to be aware that, you know, that guy's gonna be in his underwear tomorrow and it's gonna be weird or you know, whatever. I that's I don't even know where that came from, but be prepared for whatever, or you know, you're really having a hard time processing through whatever you're going through. So the dream is there to help you do it, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And just the ability, as I was saying, to connect with loved ones. I mean, that was my first big nudge and confirmation on my spiritual journey, is I had a dream about my maternal grandmother. And she was in the room with me. I could feel her, I could smell her, I could hug her. And there is no doubt that that was a visitation dream. And what an amazing experience. And I've had several of those since then. And again, it also could be gives you an opportunity to astral travel, to lucid dream, to play with the different things out there. So it's so amazing. Like I am, I love dreaming and I can never remember them, but I love them.

SPEAKER_00

See, I remember the ones that are really impactful mostly, but I know, like particularly lately, with a lot of the stuff that I've got going on in my life, there's been a lot of travel because when I wake up in the morning and I'm not even remotely rested, that's usually because I've been out somewhere traveling.

SPEAKER_02

Did you get really thirsty after astral traveling? I do, yes. I heard that was a possibility somewhere also, which I'm like, I've woken up thirsty before. And also, like when you're sleeping, I hate it when you're like you just are jolted away. That was probably a really an ugly jolt awake that I just showed there. But you get jolted awake, and a lot of people say that's your spiritual body coming back into the physical body, like you've been out traveling, and when you wake up like with a start, that's what it is. How do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I mean, if I there's only twice where I probably can think of consciously that I asked or traveled. I don't remember the next morning. I just remember the next morning thinking I had the best sleep ever.

SPEAKER_00

See, I wish it was like that for me when I actually travel. I usually wake up in the morning feeling like I've been, you know, up talking to my best friend all night, which is a great feeling. Like I would give anything to just stay up all night talking to my best friend on any day of the week. However, at this point in my life, if I'm not getting sleep, it's not the greatest.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and for me, yes, I love to dream, but it then what was so valid in one of my counseling sessions, she said, Do sometimes you feel like you're getting information you don't want to know? And I go, Oh my god, yes. And I told her this one, I was like, Well, it's probably not true. And then I linked it something else, and she looked, her eyes got big, and she was like, That is true. I was like, I don't want to know that information. And she's like, That's what it's about.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it it can be tough because you you are getting so much information, and it's it can be like floodgates opening up with what's coming through when you're dreaming or even astral traveling. But at the same time, I think that that's also what we have guides for, you know, to kind of prevent over information that we don't need or things that we don't necessarily want to know, right? Yeah, so dreaming's a double-edged sword for me.

SPEAKER_02

You can do that. I choose to see the positive side of it. I'm sure there's a double-edged sword, but I forget that part.

SPEAKER_00

I'm right in the middle. I'll take it, but sometimes I need to sleep. I mean, there there was a time that I was having such intense dreams that I actually had to sit with my guide and be like, you gotta stop. Because if I don't sleep soon, you're you're gonna, I'm I'm not gonna be able to serve anything or anyone anywhere. And that's you know, it it slowed down and they let me sleep for a couple weeks before they gave me any other doozies. But you know, it's fun because I'm sitting here thinking of random dreams that I've had and like how much shifting takes place whenever I'm having the more intense ones. So I have a question.

SPEAKER_02

Somebody asked me this question recently. Do you dream in color?

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, sometimes I'm 50 something years old and I couldn't answer that. I couldn't tell you. I just dream. I I so I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Now think about it. Think did you have a dream last night? I don't know. Probably, but I don't remember. Do you remember your last dream?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I can't remember if it's in color. It's just a dream. I've never thought about is it in color or is it in black and white? I know when I'm having though a spiritual experience, like when I'm taking a peek into something, it always comes with color. Like I see it almost as a tunnel of color or the edges are in color, like I'm watching a memory, but I don't know that I dream in color.

SPEAKER_01

So for like the dream I had last night, which again I woke up, I was like, I don't really need to know that information. Thanks, but let's sat with my guides. What do I need to do with this? So right now, as I'm going over it in my head, I could see it like on a movie screen, and it's like on a movie screen, it's got color in it.

SPEAKER_00

I I think for me it varies because sometimes there's a really major significance to certain colors that I see. So I'm only going to see those vibrant ones that really need to be drawn in or that need the attention. Where you know, there are other times that it's, you know, more black and white, more muted because of just what the purpose behind said dream is, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, while dreaming, I do, and I know when I'm doing it because it just looks different. As I said, there's a color on the outside, but it's like I take peeks into past lives, it or like I get a glimpse of an image or a memory, but they don't feel like my memories. Like how, like one day I was looking in and it was a wallpaper with cowboys on it, and it felt like 1950s, 1960s. What was that? Like, I don't know. In this other time, it felt like I was in an airplane, like flying over Venice before anything was there, like during the world war.

SPEAKER_00

What was that? So like immediately that feels like you're jumping lives and you're experiencing things across your timeline, you know, the different lives that you lived, yeah, which which is a cool thing also about stepping into this the dreams and the astral traveling is time and space don't exist. We create them. So why can't we step into other lives that we've lived, you know, when when we're in this open state of sleep and dreaming? So true. That's fascinating. I I would love to explore some of that with you, Michelle. That's fun.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, it's really very cool. And I want to hold on to it, and I haven't figured out how to do that. Like I'll step into it. I know that this is significant and I know it's not a dream that it's taking me somewhere. And I'm wanting to hold it, hold it, hold it, but it's only like five seconds. Like I can't hold it that long. So I would like to learn how to lengthen that connection so I could really jump in there and understand what's going on. Yeah, which makes sense. Yeah. So I was saying earlier about a lot of times when I'm dreaming and I'm wanting to remember the dream, or I know I'm being worked with, and it's like I have it, I have it, I have it. I hit consciousness and it's gone. Like I don't even have to move my body, it's gone. But there's sometimes I can hold on to it a little bit longer. Do you have advice for the listeners as to how to remember their dreams better or what they should do upon waking?

SPEAKER_00

So I can share what I do. And but and and I would love to hear Carissa way in too. But I keep a notebook by my bed and I write the pointed words or pointed symbols that are really popping through. I don't turn a light on, I don't do anything else major. It's like if I'm having a dream and I remember that there was a cat with a red ball, I'll write cat red ball, and that's it, you know. And and because those key pieces that those key words, it's like a Google search for your brain. So you don't have to write out the entire dream, but if you have the key words, you're going to look down at that notebook the next morning and you're gonna be like cat, you know, whatever. And it's actually going to come back to you pretty quickly. At least that's been my experience. What about you, Marissa?

SPEAKER_01

Journal works for me, because I see everything in my head, I'm visual. I just before I turn lights on, get out of the bed, I go through it all again, like a movie in my head. If I turn my body and I go to the other side and I go back to sleep a little bit, I'm more than likely gonna forget it, unless it's like, no, you gotta remember this. But other than that, I just watch it like uh in on my movie screen brain. I get up, have my tea, everything, and then I go back to it because it's already like lodged in my memory by then.

SPEAKER_00

I'll also use my phone and and create a note voice to text if I can do it quietly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that's where I get challenged because I have a dream journal. I also have my phone next to my bed, but it's the fear of waking up my husband. So very intuitive of you, Carissa, because we were just talking about do you wake up your husband when you do this? Like, that's why I don't use a dream journal or my phone is I'm afraid of waking him up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I kind of whisper.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Okay. So dreaming was part of what we were gonna talk about today. The other part we were gonna talk about are premonitions. Do you get those only when you're dreaming, or do you get those when you're awake?

SPEAKER_01

I get them both more when I'm dreaming, though, because I get stuff I don't really want to know. Because some things are like, oh, that kind of hurt my feelings. I don't really want to know that. I know. I had one last night and I'm like, I didn't really want to know that, but okay, let's let's let's deal with it. During wake, that's a great question. Sometimes, not a whole lot, but if I ask, if I sit with my guides, they may give me the answer.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe how about you, Stacy? So I I guess I'm sitting here trying to think of a premonition that I may have had, and I don't know if I if I have too many premonitions in in the direct meaning. Do I know things are gonna happen before they happen? Sometimes, sometimes, you know, I I'm along for the ride just like everybody else. There have been times where I've looked at somebody and I've known, you know, the trajectory of of their path, like without question. And then it's a matter of sitting back and just waiting. But I don't know if it's information that I don't need or want. It's just it's never really drawn my attention, I guess. Does that make any sense?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It does. And sitting here listening to both of you, there's only one time I can really remember because it was so impactful that I had a premonition. I was in bed, but I was wide awake. The TV was still on. And sometimes I see like little rectangles that float around the room, and in the middle of it is energy, and it's usually a color of energy or something. And it flew to the other side of the room, and I'm watching it, and all of a sudden it's showing the Lincoln Memorial, all these sites in Washington, DC, like a history lesson almost just flashing over and over and over again. I'm like, oh, well, that's interesting. Like, hmm, I wonder what that's all about. That hasn't happened to me before. And we're not going to get political here, but it was the night before everything happened at the Capitol. And so it really felt like prepare yourself to be coming. History's changing, but I didn't know what the event was going to be. I just really felt like something was coming and there's a reason that this all just came through.

SPEAKER_01

She really does live up to her name she called herself. The clueless.

SPEAKER_02

And that's really kind of how this journey is unfolded. It doesn't feel it feels totally different, but not different because I've always been doing it, but it just I thought everybody else felt that way or processed information that way. And so now it's just like it's always been there.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's I I mean, I remember in in the past talking about, you know, the first time I realized how my guys were communicating with me, I was pissed because I was like, this has been so ingrained in my life, and it's been such a significant part of me and my and who I am and and my growth. And then all of a sudden, to be like, oh, that's why it's because it's it's just always been there. Like, what why why was it that hard to figure out that this is how they're giving me this information when I started developing my intuition and actually practicing and using it in with intention? I was pissed.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, I want to talk a little bit, if we're done with premonitions and dreaming, a little bit about the witching hour and experiences with that. So that would be the hour usually associated with between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Many say the veil is the thinnest there. You're experiencing stillness, your conscious mind is out of the way.

SPEAKER_01

Can I jump in and say something? So, yes, there's something with the witching hour, but there was really, I mean, you could pick up stuff all day long. So for the last month or say three weeks, every day an image of any kind of actor would pop up and I would be thinking about him all day. And I'm like, ooh, why? Absolutely, like, absolutely not, until and then I was seeing things and the hat, you know, when you see things move, you know, and finally I saw, you know, there was a very quick figure, and I'm like, oh fuck, I gotta do work. You know, to me, it's like I gotta work, I'm busy. It's like I'm gonna have to address this. But and then it happened again. I was like, fine, I'll address it tomorrow morning. So got him, did my meditation. I was like, all right, who is this? He came, he's very tall. He came and sat down next to me. And I was like, All right, y'all ready? You ready? Let's cross, you know, let's get this job done. And he's like, he goes, he said, I want you. Like he was obsessed. I wasn't creeped out though, yeah. Interesting. And I was like, Oh, and I was like, This is gonna be easy. I was like, Oh, well, you know, where there's all different kinds of pieces of us, and if you really want me and to be able to hold me and touch me, you go through that door, and then you can actually connect on a different level. And he was like, Oh, okay, walked right through the door. I was like, Phew, did that. I swear to God, woke up the next morning and this morning not thinking or doing those thoughts. Interesting. And it going back to it wasn't the witching, or which does happen, but I'm picking up on that subtly, and I'm thinking, what's wrong with me? Why am I nothing's wrong with my marriage? I'm not real horny. I don't want I'm not watching these movies with all these. I love you, Carissa. I do too.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, Segway to Segway back to the witching hour. No, but that's a fascinating story that you just or that come on, y'all jump. Yeah, and a fascinating experience you just.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry, Carissa just said she's not horny, and I'm stuck on that. And I'm over here going, where do we go from here? Let me ask the question. Do you believe that there is actually a witching hour?

SPEAKER_01

I do believe there's a witching. I do believe there's a witching hour. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And I do believe there is a time during the night when it's still in your Conscious mind is out of the way and the veil is close, that it is the witching hour. And it is a time where you can have guide communication, love one communication. You could learn lessons.

SPEAKER_00

I think so. How about you? So I think that I don't yes and no. Yes. My answer is a little bit more complicated because I think that we create the witching hour and we utilize that time and space for what we need to use it for if we need to. It is a time of night where it is at its quietest in our lives that we can actually access that intuitive flow easily because of the sheer quiet darkness, feeling of just stillness that comes with it. But with that, I don't necessarily agree that there's an assigned time. I know you said from 0-3 to 0-4, but I've experienced, I'm gonna say we're you're gonna just use the term the witching hour anywhere from 11 p.m. to zero five. I would agree with that.

SPEAKER_02

I that I'm not tied to the time.

SPEAKER_01

When we went to the Sally house, that was at what four o'clock? It was immediate.

SPEAKER_00

We had more activity during the day. Well, but that was you were there specifically for that. So when I think of the witching hour, I think of a period of time where people can expand on their own.

SPEAKER_01

Talk more about that if they can get it.

SPEAKER_00

So if you think of the witching hour, so for example, you know, me and my mistress insomnia on those nights that I can't sleep, you know, I will toss and turn for 20 anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour because I I really want to sleep. And I will hit a wall where I realize that if I actually want to get a decent amount of sleep, I need to get up and just go sit in the stillness, in the darkness. And those tend to be the most intuitive and almost eye-opening moments that I have, because that is when my intuitive growth actually takes place. So it doesn't, the time doesn't necessarily matter, but that's that's kind of what I mean. It's it's a time of growth, right?

SPEAKER_02

And that is beautifully stated. And I have done a lot of research on this. They say it's a great time to journal, to meditate, to ask for advice, to visualize, to pray, to do all those things to connect to the world around you, to your higher self. So I would agree. That's a great definition. There you go, killing it again, Stacey. Many people do find themselves waking up during that time. And it's not because their husband's snoring or there's a light on. It's not because you feel sick to your stomach, you're stressed. It's just you wake up for no reason. And there can be a little bit of anxiety associated with it, or a little bit of like, what's going on? Well, yeah, you assume positive about it.

SPEAKER_00

And you assume you're gonna see a ghost, like all of a sudden somebody's gonna pop out and go boom, but that's just not not what happens. I hope that never happens to me.

SPEAKER_02

Like a gent a gentle face would be fine, but someone standing there, I'm gonna think it's a live person, so it'll I think we're gonna see it one day at one of these places we visit.

SPEAKER_00

You just remind I I have had an experience where I have actually visibly seen someone, and I'll share the experience because it was only it was less than a month ago. I was driving at night and I'm on a dirt road because that's just how I live my life. And I look up and I saw somebody standing in the middle of the road right as I was about to drive through them, and it scared the absolutely ever-loving shit out of me because at first I wasn't sure if it was a real person or a not real person. Turns out it was a not real person, but it was like they just appeared and I was driving and I went like you know, you have that moment of, oh fudge, I'm about to run somebody over in the middle of the night, but they were not, and it was quick, it was super, super quick because I went, what the puff? And then it was done, you know. So, but I also learned, you know, I'll when I did a clearing one day, and I I remember I kept saying it feels like a bus stop. There's so much activity that's, you know, kind of circling. The owner of the home that I was doing the clearing for came back and told me that it had actually been a house right next door to a train station or a bus stop or something along those lines. So I was like, that's why I just kept feeling this like evolution of people just kind of going through, you know.

SPEAKER_02

And again, a great reminder like that intuitive hit, if it doesn't make sense to you just in that moment, doesn't mean it's not tied back somehow. So hold on to that. Say it anyways. Okay, well, before we wrap up this episode, though, we were talking about the piece of equipment, ghost equipment that I'm a I'm like obsessed with, and they're called the Ghost Tube Lens. This looks really stupid. I can't even believe I'm putting it on here.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, it doesn't, they look like virtual reality glasses.

SPEAKER_02

They do. So this is what they look like, and they're made of plastic. They're about, I think I spent $80 on this, and it works with your phone. There's an app on your phone, which I don't have on right now. You just stick your phone in here and you line it up. You get it to find. Are you wearing it these days? I wore it the other day.

SPEAKER_00

Ooh, yeah, so it looks just like a virtual reality. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

But they're really a whole lot of fun. And I personally am getting a lot of information from them. And so it's a tool I'll move forward with. And I can use it while, and this is not a paid advertisement. This is just my experience. It should be. It should be, right? Yeah.
