SPEAKER_02

On this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality, we're all back, and we have a guest. My friend Robin is here, and I can't wait to let her explain one of her gifts, which is aura reading and seeing auras. So, with that, let's get the episode started. Hi, everyone. Welcome to this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. Happily, we have all of our cups here. Welcome back, Stacy. Thank you. Hi, everybody. And Carissa. Hey, Carissa. Hey, hey, hey. And just for the fun of it, we decided that we would be the Four of Cups today. And I have invited one of my friends to join us. Her name is Robin Liddicson. Liddixson. And today to talk to us about spiritual things and auras. Ooh. I know. I know. I'm so excited. I have questions for her, and I know you guys will have questions also. So we're just going to jump right in if that's okay, Robin. Perfect. Okay. Well, for our listeners, do you want to give us a brief history of how you came across knowing that you had the ability to see auras around people?

SPEAKER_04

Sure. I did a lot with my grandmother, my grandparents and my maternal grandparents, actually. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale. They lived in Miami. So I spent just about every weekend with them. And just a little bit of background, my grandmother is Hungarian, but she's actually Gypsy Hungarian. So she had a lot of family stories from my great-grandmother, her mother, and so on. They actually immigrated here, my great-grandmother, when she was 17 years old. And so part of the family went to Romania and part to the United States. And my grandmother, being Hungarian gypsy, she married a very light blue-eyed, very light blonde-haired Irish man. And so, you know, the the stories through the families were just absolutely wonderful because, you know, I got a little slice of of life and and what that meant to my grandmother, my great-grandmother, because my great-grandmother grandmother was with us until she was almost 90. So I was very blessed to have her along for the ride to to help a little bit. Now I'm an only child. So going over to their house in Miami every weekend on my own was wonderful. But my grandmother was very spiritual. She kept it to herself too. And and I think I learned a lot of that from her. She would talk with me once in a while about different things that I that I was experiencing, even very young. One day she said, Robin, do you see lights around people? Do you see anything around people? Because I guess even as a toddler, I would point things out to her, to somebody I would point. And she eventually kind of shepherd me in that what I'm seeing are actual auras. It comes off of the body very minuscule for me. And it's not just one or two or three colors or one color individual. It comes across to me as moving, kind of undulating over the body in a smoke fashion. So you can have different colors and they kind of integrate together. So if you had three different, I don't, I'm not, I'm not sure what they're called, but like you can throw them in a fire pit and then like that colored smoke emits. So if you threw threw three or four colors in there, sometimes two, sometimes one, or sometimes none. I have come across people very briefly in my life, I try to look away as fast as I can that don't have any aura. Or they have more of a gray, sad, creepy type aura. So she, yeah, that's the history pretty much. She she was a character. She could see spirits. She named one in her house Charlie, and he was mischievous. He would hide her keys and things like that. And then it came out later in life, because they lived on a canal, that there was a teenage boy that actually drowned in that canal tragically, and his name was Charlie. And she did not know that. Yeah, that's that was the origin of how I came to understand that I could see this on people.

SPEAKER_00

May I ask a question? Absolutely. With the colors that you see and the combination of colors that you see, do you come up with meaning for them that that means something to you, or did you research color meaning to see what it's associated with typically? That's a good question.

SPEAKER_04

That's a very good question. No, I always kind of I never researched it. I know some people attribute meanings, and that is it's actually great because there are meanings to the colors. But it also depends on the way the colors shift. And and people don't just have one main or two main colors, depending on how they feel. If somebody's going through grief, you know, if they're just sitting there talking with you, and then they start talking about a deceased loved one, or they get really upset over something that's happening. If you see people that all of a sudden get into a bar fight or a fight for whatever reason, right? That can shift like that.

SPEAKER_00

Interesting. It's shifting. So is that what it is and and I'm sorry to interrupt you because it you just asked like another question. Because I I'm understanding that it shifts with the person's, it sounds like mood almost. Do people have like a base color though?

SPEAKER_04

Most often they do. Yeah. There is a there is a base color that runs through. But when you're in extreme grief or any extreme emotion, that can hide. It can hide a little bit. It can, but it's probably always there. You know, like I've told Michelle that she has a lot of blue and some purple, but she also has this beautiful, bright kind of lilac color sometimes running through when she's at peace when we're just talking, when there's no outside noise, when you know, there's nothing to really bring her mind somewhere else, right? And and it's and it's just this beautiful, shiny, crystallized lilac. So that, but that's also the purple and the kind of that cornflower blue running through there, too.

SPEAKER_02

No, I I love when you explain my colors and how they look and how they appear. And, you know, I bet it's been a challenge throughout your life having conversations with people because if you see their their aura colors and then they're having a moment, can you also detect deception in there if someone's talking to you and they're not being truthful in that moment? Will it spike like with the color red or a different color that lets you know that maybe you need some more information or to be guarded? 100%.

SPEAKER_04

100%. I used to think, and I and I still think in some aspect it's intuition, because we all have that. But for me, when I'm truly dialed in, I I definitely can tell there's deception or there's there's something else going on. You know, any given situation as a female, you have to kind of protect yourself sometimes, right? And so I do I do get a clear sense of looking at somebody, male or female, that all right, this is not a situation I would like to be in. I think that has also driven me to be more of a a quiet person. I'm not really out there too much, you know. I I'm introverted, but I'm also a little bit extroverted when need be. And I don't have a problem. You know, I've come kind of come into myself. I'm 53 years old. And I had a trouble with this when I was younger, 20s, 30s, even early 40s of trying to figuring out my place in that when I felt uncomfortable around somebody, when something, the mood shifted, or you passed somebody on the street, any given situation you can think of, and it was unpleasant. And I would just remove myself. There are times when you fight back, there are times when you know you get upset and you want to say something, but for the most part, I think that what I experienced has really helped me in life to ascertain certain situations, just looking at somebody. Absolutely. But, you know, there's also that time where that could be wrong. You know, I've had things happen too that just changed on a dime that I didn't I didn't need to be in that situation. And it was unfortunate. So yeah, I nothing is concrete, you know, there's no gift out there that is with you all the time, that you can sit there and say 100%, I am this and I can do that. No, you can't, you know. So yeah, I I do feel sometimes to answer your question again, Michelle, that I I'm a little fortunate that way because I can read people. And yes, the colors do mean things to me. So if I see a lot of purple or a lot of green, or sometimes this orangey red, you know, that's orangey, red, green, those are kind of colors to me that kind of signifies somebody is just very boisterous, needing attention, needing something from you, drawing something out of you, siphoning something, right? And and there's a time and place for all of that, but you also have to protect yourself from people like that.

SPEAKER_05

I love how you brought up you can't, you don't have your gifts 24-7, because that's what we all talk about. Because we have to learn things, right? We have to go through suffering. I wanted to circle back to grandma. Did she say she saw Auras? And did she teach you how?

SPEAKER_04

She said she did, but she didn't really teach me too much. She asked questions. She was a she would ask a lot of questions. And she did help me through some circumstances where I I and I, of course I was young and I don't remember, but she would tell me that I would sit there and stare at people because I didn't understand, you know, what really was happening or what I would see or the change that would come across people. And and especially if somebody threw me, if their colors, you know, or it was just not a a great, if it was light gray or gray or not there at all, right? I I can remember on the playground, this will answer your question. On the I was on the playground, my grandmother was sitting in her car doing sweepstakes at the time and watching. And the man kept circling me. Now I did see him, but he kept getting closer and closer the more he would circle around the playground to me. And then he tried to talk to me. And I do remember being frozen, just staring at him because I'd never seen anything like that on him. It's really a void. It's kind of a void.

SPEAKER_05

No color at all, and I mean gray.

SPEAKER_04

Kind of a, yeah, kind of a, you know, like maybe a wisp of gray, but kind of void, you know, where I see purples, you know, blues are really the main color in society, to be honest with you. There's some greens out there, but there was a void. And so she did ask me questions about that. And she said, you know, those are the things that you need to be careful of when you see people like that. And don't stare, Robin.

SPEAKER_00

Don't stare at the yourself more so.

SPEAKER_02

I do love how she was such a wonderful influence for you, and that she didn't just say, This is exactly what you're seeing. She let you step into it naturally and asked you questions that got you thinking about like the next step or what that means to you. So not taking anything that she was experiencing and saying, This is exactly how you're gonna experience it, because we all experience things differently. That's the best kind of teacher. It is. She sounds like a wonderful teacher. Now, with her influence in your life, when you went back to your primary home, did you feel like you could talk to your parents about auras and the things you were seeing? Or did you find that even in that environment you had to kind of not talk about it?

SPEAKER_04

I did not. I remember talking with my mom, tried to once or twice, but she was very closed off to everything. Everything. But she was going through a very hard time in her life as well. So my birth father, he he ended up passing when I was nine years old. And he was a very, very difficult man. So there was some abuse in there, and my mom was doing the best she could at the time. So she was very closed off to all of that, all of it. And he did not want to hear any of it, none of it. But what is interesting about my birth father and that home life that I would go home to from my grandparents' house, that grandparents' house was so light and bright and you could breathe. And and then I would go home to this oppressive type atmosphere. And my my birth father just was he was the one who was super angry and closed off to anything spiritual, anything Christianity, anything religious, anything. But when he passed, this is just aside. When he passed, he passed a liver cancer in the hospital, he walked in to my room the night he passed, and he sat down on my bed and he said, I have to go now. But I'm gonna be giving you a gift, but you already have this gift. I just want to be able to give you more. And he walked out. And I got up, I went into my mom's room, she wasn't there. They were in the family room because they gotten the phone call that he passed away in the hospital.

SPEAKER_01

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_04

So, you know, I just feel like you can you can be the most closed-off person out there, but I think it's just fear. I think a lot of people live in fear of it because they they don't understand and you're not willing to understand what you can't see. Yeah, really. So yeah, I mean, I yeah, I went home to not being able to talk about it for most of my life. I haven't talked about it. It's very rare. It makes me a little uncomfortable. I don't know why, but it does. But I've been honestly called aloof quite often. And then people say, Oh, but he got to know you, and you're so outgoing, and you're oh whatever, you know. But I think it's just a byproduct of having seen this all over the place, never being able to talk about it, you know, or wanting to talk about it because of you know what you get in return.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the this actually kind of makes me want to just ask a curiosity question, honestly. Can you see? Do you have to be in person to see the colors, or you can see them, you can see them through computer screens too?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I can see, you know, it's not as vibrant, but yes, I can definitely see. I can actually see in a photograph what what is coming off of people. And again, it's not as prevalent, but it is there. It is there. And I might not be be able to see every single nuance if I'm not in person. But yeah, it's I have been able to do that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think that that just makes me curious if you're watching the news or anything like that. Are you going, This is not somebody you want?

SPEAKER_04

No, they're they're absolute, yeah. Certain, you know, there there have been times where you certain dictators, right? You know, Saddam Hussein was one of them. I remember seeing a documentary on him and they had footage of him and and seeing it in person as well. There was Castro growing up in, you know, Fort Lauderdale. We Cuba, you know, there was a lot of that stuff, and it wasn't great. Oh, you don't see very great colors coming off of these people.

SPEAKER_05

I'm so curious about the void one, too. Yeah, I am too. I'd like I keep going back to that like no, like barely even gray void. What, you know, was this someone, I'm just thinking psychologically, psychopath, or you know, out of this world spiritually not from this world, you know?

SPEAKER_04

Sure. I I have come to believe, from me seeing that, which has been very, very rare, is it could be a psychopathic personality. It could be like, you know, like a serial killer like Ted Bundy. But what I do feel is that this person is not in control. They probably were born with those tendencies of being a psychopath or a sociopath, hardcore sociopath, a hardcore narcissistic psychopath, right? But that opens them up to things that would love to be inside of them. Yeah, I agree. Right? That are not of this world and in this world. They're all in this world, and they're not of this world, and they're all the things, you know, that I just don't want to look these people in the eye. Too much, too much. Don't want to be in their presence.

SPEAKER_02

No, I was with Robin not too long ago, and right now, in current time, we're recording a little bit before you hear the episode. I showed her a picture of Brian Koberger, who is the I he just pleaded guilty for the murders in Idaho. And yeah, you had that reaction of like it was gray and much there, a void. So that's one example I can throw out there that we recently chatted about because I'm like, you gotta tell me what you see. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and it what is the crazy thing about that is you did people talk about crazy eyes. Yep, but it's a it's a thing, it's a void. And a lot of people will say eyes are windows to the soul, right? But but they are because a lot of colors, it it's not, I mean, I'm not gonna be able to describe it right, but when you come across these people, there's there's absolutely a lack of a window to their soul. Interesting. It's you know, it's scary's not the word for me when I when I have seen that. It's more of a curiosity into the fear, and that I feel like if I entertain that, it would suck me in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It really would. It would bring me to a place in this person's life that I do not wish to be in. So I turn it off. I'll absolutely just shut that off and I'll walk away. And I and I've grown accustomed to just putting out it out of my mind. And I don't, I throw up what I call as a shield, and it comes, it's a it's a golden light that comes out of my heart and envelops my entire body. And that's my fear response. And I'd done that since I was a child. I think my grandmother helped me with that. And I and it really does help. It makes me feel peaceful, it really makes me forget that I saw that, you know, and all the ick is gone.

SPEAKER_00

And so all the ick is gone. I love that. I, you know, it's it's so funny because one of the things that keeps coming up for me is like, I'm so curious because I don't think I've ever actually had like my aura told, but I'm also terrified because I don't want to find out that mine is not a good color.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, which way you're silly, super silly. No, I can already tell that you have you do have some purple going through there and some blue, but you have a little bit of green, but that green is such a color that it's like verdant. So I bet you love nature. I do. It's probably a huge part of who you are as nature.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I love being outside, outdoors. Hiking is my happy place if if and when I can get out.

SPEAKER_04

Oh good. I'm a fellow nature lover. I yeah, at my grandparents' house, they had every fruit tree possible out in their backyard and a canal. And I used to go around with a bucket and put water and mud in it, and then I'd pick all the fruit off the trees and I'd throw it in this bucket, and I would spend hours outside feeding the trees. Going along the base of the tree, feeding the trees. So yeah. Nature is wonderful. Well, how about Chris? What's mine?

SPEAKER_03

Chrissa, you are super interesting. You're a dichotomy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you you're a dichotomy of like north and south, I call it, because you're analytical, but you're also, you know, obviously very spiritual. But you have this huge analytical side to you. So your eyes, they portray to me that you're very discerning. Yeah, you're incredibly discerning, more than you even know.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah. I mean, that does come from childhood too. You know, gotta be be very protective of yourself. And that Scorpio rising, too. It's like it's watching everything. And it's, you know, it's a blessing and a curse because it could be a very lonely place if you do see things that other people don't see, and then you're just sitting there like they're saying, We are too sensitive. Well, and then something happens. You're like, You're right.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, right. At least you get that confirmation. That's good though. That confirmation is good. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I do have one question for you. We were just talking about the void of an aura or the darker colors of the aura. When somebody's an empath and you Witness them in like a situation. Can you see them absorbing the colors of other people? Does that come through at all?

SPEAKER_04

Or no, not really.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

No, I haven't really seen people absorbing other people's color. I really don't see other people, or I've never heard people talk about being able to see what I see, except for that spiritual retreat that we went on.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. What you guys should know is Robin and I actually met at a spiritual retreat right before COVID. Wait, is this the funny one? It was from the aura reader. She that we went to a spiritual meeting for like this lady who could read auras. And little did I know that Robin could also. So she was there just trying to learn from the perspective of I'm going to be around a bunch of people who can read auras. That's not what it was. But she was looking for, I'm speaking for you, but she was looking for more people who also had this ability rather than people wanting just to be read part of the community.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I remember raising my hand. We were all in a group there. And I I full on thought that everybody sitting around me could read auras. We just weren't talking about it. I'm like, why is nobody talking about this? What, you know, what is going on? And that's when I learned that it was just, it was a group gathered to well, some people wanted their auras read by Megan was her name. And some people were there for, you know, other spiritual reasons. So that's where Michelle and I actually met.

SPEAKER_00

This this begs the question that that I'd like to ask. But did you find that the colors that she was seeing were similar to what you were seeing too?

SPEAKER_04

Not always. Which is it's not abnormal. Not abnormal at all. But she she saw them a little differently than I did. We just see it differently.

SPEAKER_02

Now I can't say I've seen a fool on aura, but I can say that sometimes when I'm sitting across the room, I see just a little bit of, I don't know, it almost looks like a shadow. So I'm not saying everybody out there is gray. I'm just saying that's how it appears to me. And sometimes I see in reverse. So like when I'm looking at something to my left, it's really to my right. So maybe that's the difference and why I'm seeing it dark rather than light. But that is all I've ever experienced is just a little bit of color around a per a little bit of a shine, but it doesn't go off very far. And it's not very often I can get there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

That's come and go. And I can see white, because you know, that's the energy off. But it's come and go. If I have to sit there and really concentrate to see it.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

What about you, Stacey?

SPEAKER_00

I don't have the ability to sit still long enough. Um yeah. Yeah. I did there there was a period of time that I really did want to learn or to teach myself how to see auras. And I would sit and like like really look at people differently. But I just I for me, because it's it's I'm so like go, go, go, and and I'm sure you can probably see that in my aura, like it's I'm it's probably like all over the place that I sitting still, I I couldn't. I just I just couldn't.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. But you know, it's everybody has I personally believe that everybody, if they were open, completely open to it, has so many different gifts, I guess is a word that you could use. I always liken it to like the fish swimming in the school, right? I think that's unfortunate for for the population in general. I think we're programmed as human beings to do that. But then again, we're not because we're be we have been given these different specialized gifts. Whether it is true 100% unadulterated empathy for people when all they want to do is help people and they never think about themselves, it's a true gift, you know. I'm I'm also empathic like Michelle, but I've learned through seeing Aura that I have to turn that off sometimes when I see something that is unpleasant or that doesn't really vibe with where I want my path to go, you know? And and I've had to let go of some people too in my life that it was and that's always so unfortunate. I just, I just I wish that everybody were more open, right? Because everybody has just these beautiful gifts, and I would just love to learn from everyone.

SPEAKER_02

Students of the universe, and that was one of the reasons we started this podcast, is you know, we had people in our lives we could talk to, but not many people. And for me, in my everyday, day-to-day life back then, I had nobody I could talk to without getting that look like, really? Come on, are you serious? And that was really disheartening because here I am opening up and I want to learn. I want to be that student of the universe. I want to learn from people, and I want people to accept me as I am. And I really didn't feel like I was finding it. I maybe was a little bit shut off to it and so a little jaded in my own mind. But that's a huge reason why this podcast is here is to have these conversations.

SPEAKER_00

And just be open to it. I think, you know, even we all have different experiences. You know, I've I've been reading tarot since I was 13, but that doesn't mean I open up and introduce myself as I am. Stacey, I'm, you know, a psychic medium just because you do, you get those looks from different people, or you get the really, what do you see? What's happening in that? Like, you know, you know, yeah, my my curiosity about my aura was more because you were you were telling the different colors, and it's like, hmm, I hope my colors are good. Like, yeah, they're oh my gosh, yeah. You know, but it it's that curiosity piece too. But it's it depends. It are you being curious or are you being curious because you want to prove me wrong? Oh, you're a psychic. What do you see? What are the winning lottery numbers? What are these the typical like go-to questions that just make you feel like, why, why share? Why open up and and why, you know, give this piece of me away, you know? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Absolutely. I mean, I there are times I feel like I've been made fun of. Nobody likes that, you know, to be ridiculed over something that is hard to talk about in the first place, you know. So yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I hope you'll come back and visit us sometime because I know you personally, and that's a true gift in my life, and I know all you have to share. And there's we're scratching the surface here. There's so much more to you and your experiences. So I hope you'll come back sometime and chat with us. I would love to. But can I ask one more question before we sign off? Earlier, you were talking about your dad coming at his time of passing, and he said, I have another gift for you. Did you ever find that gift? I think I did.

SPEAKER_04

I think I did. I was never sure what that would be. And quite honestly, I was never sure how he even he even felt about my mom and I. And so it was years later. I, you know how maybe your parents had like your school photo and they stacked them and stacked them and stacked them in a in a frame. My mom would do that. She'd, I think I had like seven school photos stacked upon each other in the frame. And so I wanted to use the frame, and I just took the frame, I opened it up, all the photos fell to the floor, and a piece of paper. And on that piece of paper was a piece of tape and a thumbprint. Like if you were reading the newspaper and you had a thumbprint on this piece of tape, and it said on the paper, I just had to tell you somehow, some way that I really did love you. And it was my dad's handwriting.

SPEAKER_05

And how old were you when you found it?

SPEAKER_04

Gosh, I think I was about 15, 14, 15, somewhere around there. I'm not really sure, 13, 14, 15, somewhere around there. Yeah. I went to my mom, I asked her about it, she turned white, and she didn't want to talk about it.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And then it all just kind of disappeared. So and that's okay. You know what? Again, everybody deals with what they can at the time, with the place that they're in. And but I had that affirmation, and I do truly feel like that's what he was talking about.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, that's a hard time in life, or you know, you you're going through a lot when you're 13, 14, 15, you know, and I questioned a lot. I my mom remarried when I was 11 to a very wonderful man, but that was a rocky start because of everything that had happened. So it was a it was a really healing moment. Very lucky.
