Hello everyone, & welcome to our podcast “Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality”!

In week's episode hosts Stacy, Michelle, and Carissa explore the nuanced differences between empaths, psychics, and mediums. Michelle and Carissa, both empaths, share their experiences of being overwhelmed by others' emotions, often feeling misunderstood as moody or overly sensitive. The ladies explain that empaths can't simply turn off their sensitivity and must find ways to manage it. Awareness and acceptance are key to navigating life as an empath, though it's a constant challenge to distinguish between their own feelings and those they absorb from others. Stacy, identifying as a psychic medium rather than an empath, describes how her abilities differ and allow her to tap into others' emotions and physical sensations during readings but without the constant bombardment that empaths face.

They highlight that while psychics and empaths may overlap in their abilities, the experiences are uniquely different. The conversation also delves into coping strategies for empaths, such as setting boundaries and being mindful of the company they keep. This episode offers a blend of personal anecdotes and practical advice, making it a valuable resource for listeners seeking to understand or manage their own empathic or psychic sensitivities.

SPEAKER_00

On this week's episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality, we are talking about the difference between empaths, psychics, and mediums. Tune in and enjoy the show. Play the music. Hello, everybody, and welcome to another episode of Three Cups and a Dash of Spirituality. Stacy here with the lovely Michelle. Hi, everyone. And the lovely Carissa. Hello. Can you tell that I did not have another adjective to throw out there today? Like, I was like, what do I want to say? Gone. My brain, it just gone. Today we are talking about the difference between being an empath and a psychic and all of that stuff because it's one of those questions that I know like it comes up quite regularly. What is the difference? Like, how does it work? Yeah, and how they're similar.

SPEAKER_03

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, how they're similar too. Sorry, I'm just jumping right in there because I think it's really important for our listeners to give a definition of what a psychic is, what an empath is, and what a medium is. And then from there we can do similarities, differences, triggers, all those things that we get to live with. Well, I can do empath because I am one. I'm like a prime example. I will share, and I shared with you just a moment ago that this episode is a little triggering to me. I don't know why it's so hard to talk about exactly what I am. But an empath is a person that when they walk into a space, they are picking up on other people's emotions, their thoughts, and maybe even sometimes their physical sensations. So sometimes if you're not aware that you're an empath like me, for the longest time, it wasn't until I was like 40 something that I even knew what an empath was, it got blurred together a lot. And well, people called me moody.

SPEAKER_00

With an empath, typically you can't turn it off. You go into public, you go and you're around people, and it's just you're bombarded with information. Is that accurate? That is totally accurate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And if you're not aware, you're just picking it up and people are saying you're moody or why are you always overwhelmed? But you know, since I've really stepped into this journey, I just picture like a can of blue paint getting poured and a can of white paint getting poured and them just coming together and starting to merge. And if you don't know what's going on, you're not gonna know that the stuff you're taking on isn't yours to own. It just feels like part of your daily experience. So I always wondered why I woke up in a really good mood and by like 9:30 in the morning, I was upset, angry, sad, or I mean, I could go the other way, completely joyful because it wasn't mine to own, but I didn't realize that I was taking that on.

SPEAKER_03

Right, which which makes total sense. You know how Stacy said you can't turn it off. I have tried everything from interventions from therapists, from intuitive and psychics, from shamans. You literally cannot turn it off. And the only way to do it is to go and be alone for a little bit, to drain out everybody's stuff, get back into your authentic authentic self, and then go back out in the world. Because there is nothing, there really is nothing that is going to be like, oh yeah, you're protected. You can walk in a crowd and well, you know, alcohol works, but I mean, I don't want to promote you getting drunk because you have every time you have to go into you're you're actually bringing up a question for me because I'm actually not an empath.

SPEAKER_00

So my question is is there a way to dull it so that you can be in crowds and you don't need to step away? Can you somehow protect yourself away from feeling everything that everyone else is feeling?

SPEAKER_02

I would say just awareness, awareness and acceptance that that's part of who you are and that when you go into public, that that's gonna be something you have to learn to work with because you're not gonna stay at home, although I would love to every single day. It's not possible. So just acceptance and putting boundaries around it, I find helps like limiting the time I'm with people I know who are narcissistic or a little bit toxic or fake, or even, you know, knowing those people who are just like over again, exuberant with joy. I mean, that that's draining too, for another reason.

SPEAKER_03

I just getting in the crowd and going back into the bathroom, you know, getting back in the crowd. I'm thinking of like New Orleans because we're going, I don't I have that image. Like I've never gone to Mardi Girl because of that, even when I was younger. How am I gonna find some alone time? Or if you go on a ladies' trip with a bunch of friends for the weekend, how are you gonna find some of your alone time? You got to have your own room, that kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_02

And it really helps when you're traveling with uh another empath to know that you have those boundaries and you don't really have to speak them. It's just kind of understood that we need that downtime to just regroup.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, and there's no taking it personal, which is nice. That's nice.

SPEAKER_00

So, do you want to share what a psychic is? So, yeah, absolutely. So I would say, like first and foremost, as a psychic, because I am not an empath, I'm a psychic, I do feel what everybody else around me is feeling if I'm not paying attention. So I actually thought I was an empath for a really, really, really long time until I started actively doing readings and you know, getting more in tune with my guides and things along those lines. As a psychic, I can feel what other people are feeling, I can experience pain in their bodies, I can do all of those things. However, it typically is because I'm tapping in for a reading. So I can walk into a crowd, and while there's noise, because I'm a psychic and it does come up, it's not it tends to not be as overwhelming all the time. It all the it's it's all dependent. A psychic gets information, you know, from their gut, from their guides, and from the guides of the person that they're reading for. So I think the best way to think of a psychic is, you know, like comparatively, I guess, to an empath is an empath is always feeling what everybody else is feeling. A psychic is feeling what the other person is feeling when they are tapping into them. Does that make sense? Is that a good is that a good explanation?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and psychic empath, you can have the same thing too. Yep, yep. It can cross.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. Well, I mean, you're both psychics and you're both empaths. I just I it took me a really long time to figure out that I don't necessarily feel everything. Take on you, don't take on everyone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it I it's still noisy, don't get me wrong, it's still very loud.

SPEAKER_03

It's not like you take on the emotion. Empath can walk in and feel the sadness in their body. That's a good way to differentiate.

SPEAKER_02

Would you describe the difference between an empath and the psychic ability known as clairsentience or clear feeling, just like what you said, because you can tap in and then tap back out at right?

SPEAKER_00

I think I think that's a great I think that's a great answer. And the other thing that I'll say is typically if I acknowledge that, you know, like if I'm about to do a reading for somebody and all of a sudden I'm feeling pain in my body, which has happened numerous occasions on numerous occasions, you know, one prime example being pain in my hands, because I was reading for somebody that had arthritis later on in the day, arthritis in their hands. And once I acknowledge it, and you know, I I remember that particular day I was going to do a personal training session with somebody, and I was like, man, I've got to lift weights. My hands hurt really badly today. And then it clicked in my brain somehow. I'm doing a reading for X person in three hours. I need to write this down because this is not mine. It as soon as it clicks in my brain for whatever reason, and I'm asking the question, is this mine or is this someone else's? It's typically theirs and it stops because I've acknowledged it and I know I know it's happening. So it allows me to step away from that and not feel it anymore. Whereas I know with an empath, you're not able to just turn it off.

SPEAKER_03

Transitioning into mediumship, how you were saying you just stop to tap in with mediumship. You know, when I do my connection sessions, someone's either going to pop in or they're not. It's kind of like a waiting. You're in a waiting room at a doctor's office. Like, when do you want to come on out and get me?

SPEAKER_00

Is there anyone going to come? Is there anyone going to come?

SPEAKER_03

I've been here for five to 15 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So mediumship really is more of connecting with somebody else and them giving you the information rather than bringing it in through your own senses or how you bring it in psychically. Is that right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You can bring it in through your body, but then I guess would that be the psychic part? That's the psychic part, I think. Because mediumship, I know if I if I've got someone's deceased family member giving me information, it feels very different than whenever I'm tapping in psychically. It almost feels like it's coming from outside the body as opposed to all of the, I'm gonna just say all of the clairs for ease, you know, that that happen as a psychic.

SPEAKER_03

I was thinking about how I did a reading one, oh, had it scheduled for the day, the next day, and that night I was having trouble breathing. It's like, what the okay, this has to be something with the reading, because that's just weird. And the next day when I had a reading, and then I said, Your grandmother's showing me how she was put on a breathing machine or she needed oxygen right before she, you know, went on her deathbed. She's like, Nope. I said, Okay. She and then she went and asked her mom, and her mom was like, Yeah, she needed oxygen uh like a few hours before she died. And but the reason why she was showing me that is because for her, she was very she was very cynical of it. And so for her to actually believe it, which but I don't really don't want to go through that again, where I keep like I'm having trouble breathing.

SPEAKER_00

That was not like having those experiences can be jarring, especially if you're not sure where they're coming from for sure. Yeah. A friend of mine that is actually a skeptic that I know really well was telling me that they choose to continue to be a skeptic because they are staying in a place that taxidermy was done in and they see a lot of animals. Like they lost power like during one of the recent storms that we had here, and all of a sudden, like they were seeing animals cut kind of come out, and they told me that they are not going to believe that this is real because they don't want to believe that that was real. And so I remember having this conversation and I'm laughing, going, No, that was definitely real. Like that was definitely real. And I've been I've been to the house too, and I'm like, nope, that was definitely real. I wouldn't want to see that. Oh my gosh, that's hilarious!

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Well, Carissa, if we go back and we start talking a little bit about empaths, what do you think some of the biggest triggers are? And again, these are triggers that you've experienced or heard of, but not limited because you know, different people can experience different things.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's a great question. You know what the biggest trigger is for an empath? For here's a here's an example. There's this woman that I knew, and every time I'd get around her, I would just gossip. And I'm just not that big of a gossip person, unless, you know, it's just let's don't be negative. Like if someone hurts someone, I'm there to talk about it. But I'm just not that kind of a gossipy person. And I would always gossip around her and I would get a little messy. And that's what you have to be aware of because you're kind of pulling in their personality too a little bit. And I know that sounds, you know, psychologically, that sounds enmeshment, codependent. You don't have a strong sense of self. No, you don't, please don't go there. While that can be true, yes, empathy is you're taking in their energy and then you're noticing there's a change for you. So you do really have to be careful who you're hanging out with.

SPEAKER_02

I just learned something new because there are certain people that bring out that gossipy side of me. And I just thought, oh, that's just what the friendship is, but I don't do it in the negative, and they're negative that the way it makes me feel. I would want to do that.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's a really good example though, because that's an example of how you really do step into other people's personalities and you don't always know that you're doing it, you don't always know that and and that I think, you know, Michelle, one of the things that you had asked earlier, or we had talked about is, you know, ways to kind of alleviate that pull around people and and and getting worn out. And I'm curious, so I'm gonna ask both of you if you can acknowledge that a behavior that you're starting to participate in is not yours, can you shut it down and separate that feeling within yourself?

SPEAKER_02

I can say before I knew I was an empath, I would be, I was in a really tough situation. And in my mind, clear as day, I knew my points. I knew why I was feeling the way I did. I had direction in where I was going, I was confident in it. And then I would get in a room with people who had different different opinions about things that had been negative, but having like being forced into the space with them, hearing what they said, and then adapting them kind of as my own, like, oh, I can see your point of view. So instead of being black and white all the time, I really stepped into being gray about everything. And the problem with that is when I didn't realize I was doing it, I kind of put my own needs on the back burner. I kind of stepped into their energy and gave them compassion for it, but they never stepped into mine. I never got it in return and I didn't understand it. So I kind of sacrificed my personal beliefs to kind of support and try and get on the same page, if that makes sense at all. It might not, it might be uncent.

SPEAKER_03

Back to your question, too, for me. Sometimes I have to get messy first to realize it. I mean, I'm human, you know? I mean, I can't be a hundred percent mindful all the time. That's exhausting. That's a full-time job. 70% mindful throughout the day, that's good enough for all of us out there. 30%, you got to get a little messy. So I may have to get messy and realize it and then go, oh, and so when I'm around that person, I have to be very, very, very careful, very careful. That's really the only way for me.

SPEAKER_00

One of the things also, even not being an empath, is you know, sometimes it's really hard to not step into other people's energy and match where they are too just being human. So it feels to me like when we talk about, you know, being an empath, you you have this additional layer of grime almost to go through because just being human, if you're chilling with somebody that loves to gossip, it's super easy to step into it. It doesn't feel good. Not and I'm not not gonna not gonna say that, but it's so easy to match that energy. So you guys both being empaths, empaths, try that again, have that extra layer to work through in order to figure out, you know what, I'm stepping into this person's energy, I'm feeling what they're feeling. I need to figure out how to kind of like remove it. Almost feels like like tentacles get like attached to you. Like that's kind of like I'm envisioning all of you with octopus arms attached by with everybody that that you're around.

SPEAKER_03

And we're easy to manipulate. So that's why you have to be very, very careful because you get some of those people where they'll come around, you know, the sociopath or narcissist, and they'll want you to act a certain way. They're very, very manipulative, and so as an empath, you're feeling it, and then you turn it into act, and then you look like the fool because you're really doing that projection of their stuff, so then they can hide. That I know that's like a big concept for some, but it's true.

SPEAKER_02

You have to be very, very love how you just shared that because I was thinking the exact same thing that sometimes you become a mirror of who they are, and sometimes in you they see the traits that they don't like in themselves, or they're amplified, and so they're kind of cruel to you, or they don't want to be around you. So a lot of times being an empath can be kind of lonely, or you can feel like you're just going through this world on your own or you don't fit in. Have you experienced that, Carissa?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, for sure.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But I've got, you know, five planets in my 12th house for astrology, and I'm reading this one book, but it's for how to work with planets in your eighth and twelfth house with a lot of that, with a lot of planets in those houses, you want to retreat. And I do. But and then it says you have to be careful not to retreat too much. It's like you're a natural healer and you want to, and that's part of being in fath, is taking that away for them. It's a big, it's it's would I give it away? Probably.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I just keep going back to that paint concept because if it's you and another person in a place, there's two colors of paint. But then, like when the crowd grows larger, there's all different shades, and that's getting on your color. It's mixing and blending. And if you're not aware that you're taking it on or you don't know how to protect yourself, it's overwhelming. Like I just want to go into my house and hide. And I do melt down. And when I hit my wall, I hit my wall and I'm done. And I've got to leave. And I know so many people over the years have thought, oh, she's a little bit rude, but it's not that I'm rude. I can't take it anymore. I I physically, emotionally, spiritually cannot take it anymore. And I've got to remove myself from that situation and go be alone.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, you know, I'm gonna throw out there just because the psychic end of the world can be like that too. You know, like I I again, I can't classify myself as an empath because I can kind of differentiate a lot easier for myself. However, being in crowds, being around groups of people, being in places that there is a lot of energy happening, I'm getting input from every single human that is in that space. And while I have learned to kind of separate myself out from that, being, you know, a practicing psychic, it's not always a hundred percent. And there's still always chatter. And I can last a lot longer, I think, than it sounds like an empath can. However, I do still have that limit of ability to kind of keep those walls up and allow myself that safe space or allow myself that that ability to just kind of keep that calm and separation. And, you know, it's it's been interesting for me because I've met one person in my entire life that if they are with me somewhere, everything is quiet. One person. It's almost like they're like a weird shield or something. I really haven't quite figured it out. But that's the only time that I have no issue being out and about in public is if they're there. So that makes that that that probably sounds completely crazy, right? That makes sense.

SPEAKER_02

Is it weird to you when it goes quiet like that? Like, are you uncomfortable in the silence? Are you appreciative because you can be in the moment completely?

SPEAKER_00

The first time it happened and I was around this person, I was like, what the fuck is happening? That and that was my res like that was my visceral response because you get so used to having the constant chatter. But then after that initial like response, I realized that I can still tap it if I want to. I can still access that information if I choose to. I was able to actually find that I enjoyed the moment a lot more, and I was able to be more present and not worry so much about all of the energy that's swirling on around me. So I can go into busier places and actually feel calm, which is has not it's it's been years since I've I felt that level of calmness.

SPEAKER_03

That's nice.

SPEAKER_02

So what else triggers as an empath? If we just go back and name a couple things, spaces that are energetically charged.

SPEAKER_03

Being around negative people cannot, because then I start getting negative.

SPEAKER_01

I don't just small talk. Small talk so drink just yeah, yeah, put me to bed. Like I do want to be able to do that. Put me to bed station.

SPEAKER_03

Put me to bed. It's like when I became a mom, and then I would be around all these you'd get in your mom friends, and all they want to do is talk about poopy diapers, or when they get into high school, they want to talk about grades and this, and it's just so superficial and small talk, but they're all kind of like one upping you two with their kids, and it's just like, oh, I want to beat my head up against a wall.

SPEAKER_02

It's stressing me out. Look at me, I'm getting stressed out, even talking about it. The thought of it. Watching the news also can be very stressful if there's any violence or suffering. So I'm usually not up on current events like I should be. I mean, the real current event, like I I don't watch the news.

SPEAKER_00

I I can't I don't either. I don't either. And and it's again it's The the difference, I guess, between empath and psyche is I still feel that I still feel all the shit coming from that the news, the the fear-based, the fear mongering and stuff that happens. So I'm very similar to you, Michelle. I do not.

SPEAKER_03

I remembered something when COVID hit, and you remember everyone is indoors that first month. That was the most quiet time of my whole life. And then I and when I would step into my meditation, I forgot what it's called, but it's Hindu word. But it's when you it's like you immediately drop in and everything is you're just there in that moment of stillness. You're in this certain energetic space. I was able to do that within seconds. I still can't do it. I and that was the only time in my life, and I realized how sensitive I'm I am to the energies of the world. So again, would you change it? Probably. Probably. I think I wouldn't.

SPEAKER_02

Would you change it, Michelle? I I think so, but I've never known anything different. Honestly, true. I've always been this way, and I thought everybody else was this way too. And I would get my feelings hurt all the time because, like, surely they know I'm feeling this way. Why don't they reach out or why don't they check in on me? But they they don't. They don't all like process the word.

SPEAKER_00

They don't feel what you're feeling. I'll I'll speak for the non-empath people. Like, I don't want to say out of tune, but that's the only language that I can come up with right now. I I can pick up on people's emotions very quickly, but I'm also like, that's just me. But there are times where you know it's challenging to establish where somebody is in their the grand scheme of things in their own life. Especially, you know, and and again talking a little bit more about the psychic end of it, when there is a lot happening in your life, like your actual human experience, it's really hard to pick up and connect a lot of those dots, like you typically can as a psychic. And so sometimes, like I know I can be self-absorbed because I'm so stuck in the human that I'm not picking up as much on the outside stuff. And I know that it's completely opposite as an empath, because you guys, I'm I'm sure when you have the life stuff happening and you're very in your human, you're in your human and you're still picking up everything else as well.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Is that accurate? Well, I sometimes will want to like uh metaphorically put my head under the covers. So I may not all I may not also be checking in because I've had to deal with clients and supervisees and other stuff in my life where I can maybe come across insensitive, but metaphorically my head's under the under the covers, if you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And I would say a lot of times when we have things going on in our own lives, or I guess I should just speak for me, when I have a lot going on in my own life, because I'm so drained by everything around me, I'm not going to project it out there. Like I will hold on to how I'm feeling about things. And it's kind of stifling. Those closest to me, I'll probably share with what's going on. But like I've really learned over the past couple of years to hold it all in. Like, don't put myself out there too much because I don't want to burden other people on a difficult day.

SPEAKER_03

Does that make sure you know how yeah, because you know how it feels?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it does.

SPEAKER_00

And you know, the tough thing about that though is holding it in and and keeping it that close to yourself is actually way, way, way worse for you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But I can't get around it. Like if you have advice for getting around it. Therapist, if because that's the person.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, we are the person, you know, my dummy you'd be in therapy for the rest of your their life, but and it's like a dumping ground. I mean, it's a place where you can feel and experience and grow. But we therapists, I hate to the sound so therapists are listening to this, but we are, in a sense, a little bit like a a dumpster. We're holding space for all that crap. And it does feel good though. That's why I tell therapists, you got to go get a therapist because people are dumping on you all day long, and you're holding space for all these nervous systems. You need a therapist to go do that.

SPEAKER_02

And that makes sense because there's the energetic exchange, too, because you're allowing yourself to put it out there, but you're paying them too. So they're getting something for the time they're invested, they're just not absorbing it free of charge or right.

SPEAKER_00

And I actually do have another suggestion as well. I saw this a while back and I loved it. So, you know, as much as I a hundred percent stand by what you just said, Carissa, I'm also going to say that there are some people that can't access therapists, unfortunately. Money, insurance, all of the reasons, waiting, wait lists, all of that stuff. Because I know here where I am, if you want to get into a therapist, you're waiting three to six months. Like that's wild. It's in it's bananas. But I read that if you have a friend that you trust that you will talk to openly, you can use a code of some sort where you can reach out to them and saying, I say something like I need seven minutes, or like I need eight minutes, and put a time limit on it too, where you take that time and you obviously you're you're in this understanding with them. They know that if you need to get stuff off your chest, you will use the term, hey, I need eight minutes. Hey, whatever, whatever.

SPEAKER_03

That's very psychic of you because I do have a friend and colleagues, a therapist, and that's what we do with each other. Can I talk? It'll only take five or ten minutes. That's and we both know, okay, this is where I have to hold space.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You're reaching out to this person that you trust to have them hold space. And the the agreement is more, I need to get stuff off my chest. I do not necessarily want solutions. So it's I need seven minutes. And you get on the phone and you get everything out. And then maybe you talk about something else after those seven minutes are up or whatever that looks like. And you know, you might come up with a solution. My best friend, she calls me and she she'll she'll text me or she'll call me up, she'll be like, I need five minutes. And when she calls me and says, I need five minutes, I know that that's what's coming. So I'm just I am holding space. That's that's it, and letting her get this stuff off her chest.

SPEAKER_02

I have a hard time asking for help too. So like I'm gonna have to work on that one. That is one of my downfalls. I'm so quick to offer it, but to ask for it for my own purpose, like, no, it's right, it's hard, hard to do. But um, we're sitting here talking about the differences between like psychics and empaths. When you start to feel that overwhelm, what do you do to come back to center? I know we talked about just going to bed, getting some alone time, but do you do like a walk in nature, listen to music? Do you have a go-to to help clear that out of your energy system?

SPEAKER_00

It depends. It depends on the why, the where, the when, the how for me. If I can get outside and put my feet in the ground, absolutely that is my number one go-to because being outside is my happy place. If I'm in a crowded room and I'm feeling overwhelmed, sometimes I'll sit in a corner and just breathe or get a drink. If I am out in public and I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the energy around me, I will practice breathing techniques that I teach other people, like square breathing and stuff like that, just to get myself out of that heightened feeling. But it all depends on why or where I am, Press.

SPEAKER_03

I I have to start my day with a full cup. So now that my daughter's in high school, my husband and daughter leave, I get up after they leave, I have five to 10 minute meditation, drink my tea, do a little bit of writing, and then I'm good to go. And that's that is like a non-negotiable. Self-care can get a bit, you know, stressful, but that is my non-negotiable, except when I'm on vacation. Every day, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

I want to just highlight one thing that you just said because I love it so much. Self-care can be stressful. Oh my God.

SPEAKER_03

And it's just it can. You just gotta do what you gotta do that makes yourself feel good. And every day it could be totally different. But for me, I know that's a non-negotiable because it's really, really, really works for me. That may not work for everybody, but I don't get on my phone, none of that stuff. I have people who text, I do not text until I do that.

SPEAKER_02

I love it. And what do you guys think about things we can do to bring balance to our day? Um, if we are an empath and we know we're going to be stepping into a busy day, what can you do to protect yourself, protect your energy? I have a couple ideas, but I was curious what you guys wanted to try. Well, first one, you know, set an intention for the day if you can. Like I acknowledge this about myself and I will do my very best to make it through the first half of my day, and then I'll re-evaluate, you know, set an intention of some sort, put those boundaries in if you know you're gonna be around people who are a little bit hard to deal with. I'm sorry, I can't think of a better word or draining, set a time limit. I have a reason I have to go after an hour. I do that all the time with certain people. So that that protects my energy, but allows me to show up for them too. And then, you know, clear out the energy, put protection around you and double down on the protective piece. And then at the end of the day, release any energy that is not mine and call back my own energy. I would say an intention or call for that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think we're you're leaning a lot into Reiki. So if you're Reiki trained, you can easily just remove the energy that that's no longer serving you and rebalance it too. Self-healing. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

I do do do a minimum three things I'm grateful for every morning, but I also have this app on my phone. It gives me affirmations throughout the day. It'll bing and give me, and sometimes it's my spirit guides right saying, I know I got you here. And it's like, oh, and it settles me. Not all the time, but I'm telling you about 50% of the time. It is exactly what I needed. And I'll get about five a day, I think five or six a day. And that helps me have it just bringing me back to the moment. So you got I am in mantra to put those on your phone. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, do either of you have anything else you'd like to say about empaths, psychics? We didn't really talk much about mediums.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, I mean, and I think too, mediums, the way they experience things in comparison to a psychic and an empath is so different because it is outside the body and you're not necessarily experiencing it, experiencing it internally. That it didn't, it doesn't really go with the the two. So I guess we're wrapping up now, then aren't we?

SPEAKER_01

Wrapping up.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Well, I'll jump in and just say stay classy, everybody.

SPEAKER_02

Stay sassy and stay badassy until next time. Bye.
